We stayed at Bill Resort for 3 nights. It's situated in the quieter part of Koh Samui(Lamai). My first impression was that it was off the beaten track-which it is slightly. Walking distance to the town would probably take 10-15 minutes to walk(depending on how fast you walk).There were some shops(7-11 minimart)located on the main Rd(then again a little walk of about 6-7mins to reach this. The actual room itself was very good value for money. The room was clean,could have done with a lick of paint though and the lighting was a bit dim. The only real problem was at night when all the bugs and frogs came out!! It was rather noisy but you do get used to it. The pool was nice and clean and had a jaccuzzi,beautifully kept gardens. The breakfast was good,they will make you eggs of your choice. The restaurant overlooked the sea which was lovely to look out on every morning. The beach was a minute away from our room. Nice beach,clear water. Only problem was afternoon time the sea became invaded by jellyfish,this is the time to retire to the pool! It also has massage beds next to the restaurant and beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would probably recommend hiring a moped to get around. Bill Resort is situated very close to Hin Ta Hin Yai (Grandmother and Grandfather Rock) which is worth seeing. Overall it was a pleasant stay,if you are looking for a relaxing few days I would recommend Bill Resort.
Always a treat. Have stayed here twice now. Staff are beyond hospitable.
Bungalows are cozy and faultless.
Small beach restaurants next door are yummo, and you can't help but make friends with their dogs.
Bill Resort has everything it needs in a quiet setting. Lovely pool, massage/beauty lady, 'Dun', down near the beach, has magic hands and you will float back to your room/bungalow after a massage by her.
If you're looking to for a quieter experience and to be a little away from Chaweng, Bill resort is perfect. Close to Lamai center, but far enough away to feel like you're away from it all. 10/10
Great resort, I would recommend to everyone. For 100% I'll be back in there. Very good service. Great food. Big and clean swimming pool and what is the most important resort is situated at the seaside!! So you have everything you need in one place.
Perfect location of our bungalow on stilts, fine ocean view and real jungle feeling, birds and frogs wake you up - loud and early,the restaurant at the beach gives you the impression that you are on a ship, Thai kitchen is good and reasonable, the international menu is overpriced, in short: if you want a somewhat authentical retro samui, a couple of days at BILL`s is a good choice
We booked on arrival at the airport at 8am and by 9am we were swimming in the ocean steps from our room. While my first impression of our room was not very good it soon grew on me and when we had to move to a "better" room I was not very happy. (it was indeed nicer but did not have the character and quaintness or convenience of first room) Staff were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast there every day -perfectly fine, not much variety. Handy to everything. I look forward to going back there. Oh and the massage next door, Ms Tawan is magnificent.
