Disappointment
A five star hotel with five star prices but at best four star. Our room had a leaking airconditioning unit so for 2 days we had to have towels on the floor. The shower swung from the set tempersture to scalding hot then freezing cold without warning. Most days the tea/coffee/ coffee mate refills were forgotten as were toilet rolls and one day hand towels. The food choices for breakfast were small and tucked away in one corner compared to the spread and choice for the continental guests, probably reflecting the proportion of UK guests to certainly those from Germany. On the plus side the gardens were beautiful leading straight to the beach which again was beautiful. A very nice set of swimming pools was immaculate and well looked after. Staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant. However as an overall comment the hotel now needs a refubishment as in many areas paint was peeling off and doorways were grubby.

The very wide beach frontage and well...
The very wide beach frontage and well maintained gardens and pools and the design of the buildingsmake this place exceptional in Chewang. One is not bothered by noisy neighbours as most others would be.

This was my second visit to this...
This was my second visit to this hotel. On this second visit, I was quite surprised by the coldness of the staff from the time we checked-in to the time we checked-out. At check-out, the girl received a phone call just as we were completing the check out. She didn't even bother to say good-bye (I guess the phone call was extremely important!). I love the location of this hotel and the style. Hence, it is with regret that I would probably not stay here again but prove another hotel in the same area.

Stayed at Centara for 10 nights in...
Stayed at Centara for 10 nights in June and loved it! The hotel, pool, beach and location is perfect. I will stay there again next year without question.

The Hotel is very good and centrally...
The Hotel is very good and centrally located right on the Chaweng Beach. The facilities like SPA etc are pretty expensive though. Although all rooms are facing the sea, but the view from the ground/first floor room given to us was not very good since there were buildings that were obstructing the view. Make sure you insist on a room on higher floor.

Very nice experience. Lovely rooms and bathroom nice view from the room. Breakfast on both sides are amazing specially the beach front. Will love to stay next time and highly recommand to everyone. The only problem we faced twice was the electricity went off. They should increase their pool timings as well.

Very, very nice facilities, excellent location, great food, nice rooms. Very good room service and housekeeping. Was it worth the extreme cost, though? Now that I've had a look around Chaweng, no. Could have found very similar for about half the price. Would it have killed them to offer us a free ride to the airport after 8 nights at $220/night? Probably not, but they didn't, and our taxi followed the half-empty resort bus to the airport. Only other gripe: practically had to beg for coffee in the breakfast buffet.

This is a fabulous resort hotel. ...
This is a fabulous resort hotel. We loved the location on the seafront and breakfast looking at the waves. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only criticism was that it was very expensive but we had a great rest.
