Really enjoyed my stay here for 11...
Really enjoyed my stay here for 11 nights. Great location, reasonably quiet, 3 minute walk to many restaurants, bars and nightlife. 8-10 minutes to Chaweng beach and it’s nightlife. Staff at the Pavilion are a highlight. They are always helpful and friendly, and really helped to make my stay special. Great reservation desk for activities around the island and nearby. The room was well equipped, clean and close to the beach and very romantic lighting and layout with big tub and private spa pool. There could be some basic maintenance done on one or two items in the room, but nothing was really an issue, especially considering what you get for the price along with the rest of the hotel and staff. Great place overall, will keep coming back.

We stayed here for the second time,...
We stayed here for the second time, we loved it so much last year we wanted to return. Excellent location, just walk out the front and you are on the main street of Lamai - heaps of cheap restaurants and shops that sell everything, suncream, medications etc. We stayed both times in the Junior Spa Suite, they are just gorgeous with the little plunge pool out the front in the courtyard. If you are looking at options the entry level - Superior Spa rooms are excellent and it is hard to justify spending double for the Junior Suite, the only real difference is the plunge pool. I would not suggest paying more for the Hyrdo Pool rooms, i think the Junior Spa suites are better. The Grande Villas are amazing but pricy. Food and beverage excellent, breakfast great, go the pancakes! Pool area lovely and heaps of sun lounges on pool and beach. I would highly recommend this Hotel, we will hopefully return next year.

The Pavillion is a beautiful looking place...
The Pavillion is a beautiful looking place ... but it is a mix of good and bad. We had a Junior Spa Suite and the room was dark and dingy, the SPA was always cold as the area is under much shade. The rooms are tired and a bit dirty, but it's not all bad. It is good value if you can get the right price. The pool area, bar and restaurant is also a really nice setting, probably one of the nicer ones around, but again it's a little tired ... but still great to sit around the pool. A dissapointing part was the staff, they were not as friendly and smiley as other places we have stayed in Koh Samui ... they actually looked miserable. There were several of them standing around talking to each other and we were waiting for service ... so not so good there. Overall it wasn't too bad but there are better ones around if you paying rack rate. We got a good deal through Asia Rooms so it made the experience not too bad. I would probably go back again but stay in the Pool Villa's .. they looked pretty good, although they are expensive.

In my opinion the best resort on...
In my opinion the best resort on Lamai Beach and reasonably priced. There appear to be as many staff as guests and nothing is too much trouble; it seems that you receive a more personal experience than you do in some of the larger higher-stared hotels. Pavilion is only rated a three-star but I have stayed in four and five stars which are no better and some worse. Breakfast has every choice you are likely to want and plenty of it. We ate one night at the Patio Restuarant which serves excellent food and is great value for money. The spa massages are a bit expensive when compared to the beach massages (next door) which are very good. The beach is kept spotless but is fine shingle not sand, which can sometimes hurt your feet, so go prepared. A nice boutique resort in a fab location.

Pavilion is absolutely fantastic and a great place that totally out of my expectation by viewing the photos showing in their homepage. Nice environment, nice facilities, nice services. I truly recommend this resort when you really want to koh samui for a paceful vacation with sunshine and beaches. Of course, dun forget to visit Koh Tao when staying in Koh Samui. It's another fantastic island that you should go to~!

Can't say I was over impressed with...
Can't say I was over impressed with the Pavillion. It reminded me of a concrete jungle at times. Upon arrival we were given an upgrade - this seems standard practise here. Room was fairley trendy, yet all I had to look at from my balcony were 3 6 foot walls, I could have been anywhere in the world, rather than Thialand. The bathroom wasnt great and the room size was adequete at best. On the plus side the breakfast was superb, as was the view. What i really didn't like about pavillion was its location. Now this maybe down to the time of year, but our part of the beech was filthy. When me and my partner walked on the sand both of us had thick tar on our feet. In addition it was full of litter, with a fair bit of rubbish in the sea. Staff were excellent, and the fact that they were not over friendly as some Thai people appear, made them seem more genuine to me. For me if you stay on Samui - stay at the fishermans village, and have nights out at Lamai and Chewang.

Firstly I would like to say that...
Firstly I would like to say that this is the first time that I have used Asiarooms.com and I was so impressed. I accidently booked and paid for 1 nights accommadation too much and as soon as I notified asiarooms they organised a refund of nearly $500 minus $50 fee for 2 rooms as we were travelling with our kids 12 and 13yrs old. I requested adjoining rooms which was not possible but we did get rooms that were next to each other which was OK for us. We really enjoyed our stay here it was a fantastic location and the beach was fantastic. The kids did parasailing and jet skiing which was AUD$30 each for each activity. The breakfast was fantastic and we had dinner right on the beach twice with fanastic food for about AUD$30 total for the four of us and we loved it. We stayed here for a week and I felt that a week here was enough as we had already had a week at Karon beach Phuket. There was plenty of shopping here we did go to Cheweng once for shopping but we thought that it wasn't worth the trip.

The hotel was in a fantastic location...
The hotel was in a fantastic location the staff were friendly and helpful. Our breakfast was included in the rate and it was excellent with so much to choose from. We were travelling with our 5 year old and all the staff were so great with her. The room wasn't the one shown on the internet we had one of the older more basic rooms but it was still good, initially we were a little disapointed when we saw the other rooms available.Next time we would upgrade to the next level.

This was our first visit to Thailand...
This was our first visit to Thailand and after leaving the pollution of Bangkok, Samui was a welcome alternative. I thought overall the standard of accommodation and eateries in Samui etc were of a low standard compared to cleaner parts of the world. However, The Pavilion was definately the best place to stay on Lamai Beach. In particular the food/chef in the Restaurant was outstanding. The pool was nice and there were always plenty of clean deck chairs around the pool and along the beach front. The actual beach along Lamai is quite dirty but the good resorts spend hours cleaning it before the guests get up in the morning (The Pavilion's beach front was the cleanest by far!)Unfortunately my husband and I were only staying for 5 nights and 4 of those nights (and days) we came down with a terrible Asian Flu bug (my husband ended up in Hospital)so we didn't get to enjoy our stay. The Pavilion were very helpful and showed much concern as to our health status. Originally we had booked a Junior Spa Room but upgraded (at our cost) when we arrived to a Hydro Pool Room. The only real difference being more privacy and larger pool in the villa. I actually thought the Junior Spa room was good value for money and we probably didn't need to upgrade in hindsight. Both rooms were lovely with everything in working order and clean and tidy. I wouldn't bother going back to Thailand but to those that are going I would highly recommend the Pavilion as one of the best.
