Good trip and stay
Pool was not clean enough The superior room had a lot of dust under the bed. Breakfast was ever the same. The rest was good and the same as on the website

this is situated right in the middle...
this is situated right in the middle of a busy street with a suit shop on one side that actually projects into the hotel lobby and a massage parlour on the other (the girls were nice though). the lift did not work and the rooms were dark and dingy. generally the place was run down. the balcony at the back overlooked an area that was probably used for dumping - i could not see clearly as it was dark. we had to check out straight away as we did not feel we could stay there. the hotel does not reflect the brochure pictures at all. it was also quite expensive for the state of the place!

We Stayed in this hotel for two...
We Stayed in this hotel for two nights when travelling through thailand, the hotel itself was quite dated apart from the new block that we stayed in. Our room was quite nice the bathroom was a little dirty but apart from that it was ok, the water in the bathroom aswell was really dirty for the first few minutes that you ran the tap. Leaving a pool of brown water in the sink. The pool could do with a bit of maintenence as they were some loose tiles. Overall i think this hotel was ok, and was in an excellent location, but i think they should probably plan to improve some aspects of it.

Really nice pool, really good location in...
Really nice pool, really good location in Lamai. We stayed in a Thai House and it was really nice and very big. Would recommend it here.

We booked the rooms at the front...
We booked the rooms at the front of the resort, and while they were large and clean, they were quite old and rundown. We were upgraded to the new wing which was very nice, modern and comfortable. It is definitely worth the small amount extra. The service was great, breakfast was fantastic, and other meals really nice and reasonably priced - there was little need to eat anywhere else! Location in Lamai was perfect - right on the beach and close to shopping, bars and clubs. Its a fair way from Chaweng, and much quieter, which suited us. I'd definitely go back to Weekender, and recommend others stay there - just make sure you stay in the new wing or beachfron bungalows!

We stayed in a standard room which...
We stayed in a standard room which when we arrived smelled extremely damp,the interior was outdated. We then asked to look at another room as the smell was rather bad. They allowed us take a look after spraying what seemed like a whole can of air freshner needless to say we were disgusted and paid the extra to stay in a deluxe room, which was lovely.. The standard rooms are overpriced and are in need of updating.

This hotel wasn't what it appears on...
This hotel wasn't what it appears on the website. We were very dissappointed with the room hygiene as we were constantly paid a visit by cockroaches and ants. Although the room size is acceptable, however, the decor and the facilities are generally poor. With regards to the hotel itself, there were no provision for evening entertainment. The hotel lobby become completely deserted once the sunset draws in. The staff were generally friendly except the reception service which for a hotel boasting 4 star was unsatisfactory. We will not rturn back to Weekender Resort in future for this obvious reasons and would not recommend it to friends, families and colleagues.
