Stayed in this resort for 8 nights...
Stayed in this resort for 8 nights with my partner during June 07.
Hotel is far from everything, so suitable for a relaxing and calm vacation. It's 15 min by car far from Lamai and 35 min from Chaweng.
Taxi costs at least 500 Baht from airport (but you need to negociate alot).
The resort is 10 years old and well maintained. Staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Our deluxe villa was situated in the east corner. Its size was correct, TV very small and bathroom badly renovated. AC working well only if you close bathroom door, otherwise cold air escapes from permanently opened grills in the bathroom.
The resort has 3 swimming pools and luxurious tropical vegetation. The beach infront is blocked by an old dead reef, so no way you can profit from ocean's water. Stick to the pools for refreshing your skin..
Otherwise the view and atmosphere is very nice and white sand makes tanning nicer.
The restaurant prepares good food, but a bit expensive compared to what can be found outside.
Breakfast was always the same, repetitive and boring after a couple of days. Juices are not fresh, but exotic fruits were diversified and delicious.
There is a free shuttle for hotel residents going almost every 2 hours to Lamai and Chaweng, but places are limited and you need to register before.
Outside the hotel, 5 min walk on the bottom of a slope you can find a couple of restaurants cheap and serving excellent food.
The main attraction just infront of the main door is the butterfly garden. The view is awesome from the top of the hill.
I would recommend this hotel to people wanting to have relaxed, calm and far from everything holidays.
Room price was ok because we had booked in advance.
