Under Construction - No its not construction, just painting...
We stayed 5 nights in the Pool Villa. They have several of these Pool Villas at the back of the resort, the front is an standard medium priced Thailand Bungalow operation.
The Pool Villas are nice, spacious, just what the doctor ordered...but 3 of them are duplex, means have two floors. So if you get a downstairs one, you have somebody above you, blocking the sunshine and intruding your privacy - the pool/jacouzi area can be seen from the upper floor villas.
We were unlucky and got one of the two floor units, on the groundfloor. Wanted to move just to discuover that the single floor units were all under refurbishment, sanding of the paint, put on new paint. Very noisy and very very smelly paint. The resort advertieses as eco friendly, but the materials (paint) they used was defiently nowhere to be eco friendly.
Our complaints changed nothing, no appologies, just trying to explaint that painting is not construction - not sure how they call the sanding with grinding machines...
Left very unhappy and will definetly not recommend this establishment. We made a mistake in not noting that most of the reviews are quiete old (dating from 2008 and earlier). Seems the managnement changed or just lost interest - thats how it felt at least...
