Stood there in March 2006, location (beach - shoppingaera - dinner outside) great, rooms great and clean. Beautiful garden and surrounding.
Super service from: receptionstaff, roommaids, gardeners, very friendly and helpful.
Bad service from: staff in restaurant (breakfast), lazy, very unfriendly, sat just in the backrows and told their privat eveningstories like chatterboxes,(nobody ist interested in), cleaned their fingernails and ears or recoverd their make-up for more than 10 minutes. Meals always seemed to be from day before, cold.
Also problems with sunchairs: staff rent Chaweng Buri´s privat sunchairs for lot of money to guests from other hotels, were the beach was as dirty as could be. Keep the chairs for your own houseguests!

Great position you must insist on getting rooms close to the beach or even upgrade you do not want them near reception area they are not as good, also the Bathrooms are poor this is one area that needs attention the breakfast is poor by european standards but quite OK by Thai standards and if you ask the staff to make you omelletes etc they are very obliging of course you are not sure what they bring but hey so what.

I had a great time at the resort. Rooms were clean and well done. The hotel itself is very relaxing. I found the spa to be expensive as comapred to the rates being offered by other hotels. The only probelm I faced which is the case for all hotels is the language problem. Hotel staff was not well versed in English so ordering food and other housekeeping items was a bit of a challenge. Muslim visitors should be careful as most of the food items have pork. The beach was very clean with easy access to water sport. Pool side bar is nice but lacks good music..... All in all highly recommended... I will stay at the resort again..

Very nice hotel, comfortable rooms with aircon and in-room safe, friendly staff. Situated in the centre of Chaweng. Would certainly use again!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Chaweng Buri Resort. The rooms are good and well situated in beautiful tropical gardens leading to the beach. Also the hotel is well situated in the centre of the resort close to the restaurants and bars.

We enjoyed a very pleasent holiday. Nice accommodation - bathrooms need urgent re-decoration! Friendly and efficient reception desk, laundry and room maid no 1, breakfast was ok for every nation and the pool bar & service there didn't leave anything to be desired. Only one problem at the restaurant - lunchtime and dinner = service was so slow and sometimes incompetant that food was received more or less cold - after that we decided to go elsewhere and had lots of fun and good times. This hotel may not be the very best at Chaweng Beach but it is worth every penny and one enjoys the best of the beach and the best service as far as drinks and sun benches are concerned. - One final word of warning: if you have a problem with your back - watch out - the mattresses are as soft as granite!

Stayed in Chaweng buri for 2 weeks in May 2005. The pool and the location on the beach were perfect. The bungalow was spaceous, but a bit worn. The shower had hot and cold water, but rarely mixed:-) Nice staff, and we were given new bed linen and towels every day.
The resort in general were a bit worn, the pool restaurant furnitures could need some paint, the garden were over-grown and resulted in a lot of ants. Noticed that some restauration of bungalows were ongoing now, so this can change.
If we come back to Samui we will probably stay here again.

My wife and i are spending our summer holidays at Chaweng Buri Resort Hotel since 6 years now ... we really love this cosy place. we are always staying there during low season (june) and chaweng beach is not crowded during this time. i recomend this resort as a cosy place for people that are looking for a both ... relaxing (at the beach) and action (that can be found on chaweng beach road).

WE STAYED AT THE CHAWENG BURI FOR 9 DAYS IN MAY 2003. ON ARRIVING THE SMILES OF THE STAFF WAS VERY WELCOMING AFTER A LONG TRIP.OUR CHALET WAS OUTSTANDING AND THE CHERRY ON THE CAKE WAS THE LOCATION RIGHT ON THE BEACH. TO SUM IT UP OUR STAY WAS FANTASTIC AND THE STAFF WONDERFULL WE WILL CERTAINLY RETURN

I stayed at Chaweng Buri Resort for 10 days in June, 2002. The resort was wonderful. The chalet was light and airy and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good. The location on the beach was perfect. We were far enough from the main street for it to be peaceful and serene. I will stay at Chaweng Buri Resort the next time I visited, and I will stay longer.
