Natien - My moral guardian
Having booked a double room (for two people) and duly checked in I went in search of a lovely girl I had met some months earlier in the hopes that she could again spend some time with me. But the Natien hotel wanted to charge me another 1,200 baht when I tried to check her in despite the fact that the room, as paid for, was for two people. Apparently this was because she hadn't checked in at the same time as me and wasn't deemed as a 'family member' by the hotel. Whom I choose to spend my time with is not, in my opinion, any business of the hotel nor had they any legal right to make a further charge since the room was booked for two adults. Myself and colleague in adjoining room checked out the next day so they lost a lot more than 1,200 baht. Apart from that, room was ok but water in the shower scarcely more than dribbled out and in peak periods dried up altogether. Aircon unnecessarily loud. Breakfast was adequate but don't expect a huge choice. Coffee half cold. Swimming pool small. Location ok, main drag within easy walking distance.
