The hotel and gardens were lovely and the service in the restaurant and reception was great. However the housekeeping and spa staff could use some good training. The floor of the room was dirty and the shower curtain mouldy, and my room service dirty plate was left outside my door for nearly 2 days until i told reception to have someone collect it.

A very nice Hotel with modern furnishings, very clean and tidy.2 nice pools but the beach is poor, overall a nice stay was had

On the whole the hotel is very good. The staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient. The accomodation was to a very good standard though the stains on the floor suggested that they are not washed very often, though that would not stop me from staying there again.

Location at the north end of the Lamai beach is a bit far away from the Chaweng beach where the light life are .So if you prefer the quiet and relax vacation, the hotel is a good choice around the area . As it is nice and details in the decoration with spacious atmosphere !room quality is good ! Pool by the beach with resturant for breakfast with the seaview is magnificent ! Breakfast with friendly services ! Except the Lamai beach with the sand is not as fine as the Chaweng. Walk to the Lamai town take 15-20 mins and a nice walk along the beach!The hotel is definately a good deal in the similar class in the Lamai area ! Better to hire a car if stay there !

I stayed at Samaya Bura for 10 nights on my honeymoon. Myself and my wife both loved this hotel. I've stayed in lots of hotels all over Thailand and this one is my favourite. It is new, stylish, modern, very clean, excellent staff, great facilities, i just can't say enough about it! It is not for budget travellers, but at the same time it is reasonably priced. Great for couples and families. You can step from the pool or restaurant straight onto Lamai beach which is easily the nicest beach on the island. Close to Lamai (10 min walk) and Chaweng is only 10 mins by car or motorbike. I love this hotel and will be returning without any doubt. Don't bother looking anywhere else! Recommend Sea View deluxe, large room, large balcony with stunning view.

This is a first class hotel. Rooms are a good size nd facilities excellent. Standard of service from all staff very good. Only minor ctiticisms are that hotel is 3km from centre of Lamai (but hotel has free shuttle service) and that rooms facing the road (not sea view) are a little nosiey because of traffic. Overall this is a high class hotel and I would be happy to return.

Recently oponed and virually "Brand New" The hotel itself is slightly pretentious in that it is basically a 3 to 4 Star hotel attempting to appear as a 4 to 5 Star Hotel. The Staff were on the most part friendly and helpful however some had poor English skills making anything more than basic communication difficult. The overal quality of the fixtures and fittings are not consistant with a 4 star hotel, although they give such an appearance at first glance I doubt they have durability and are unlikely to look so keen after a year or so of use. Overall value for money but if the rates increase above Baht 3000 then there are hotels nearby in Lamai that would offer far better value for money.
Lovely new hotel on the north side...
Lovely new hotel on the north side of Lamai beach, away from the madness of the main Lamai beach area. It's right on the beach but it's not a great spot for swimming (very stony and muddy). But there are two pools and lots of sun loungers so it's not too bad. For swimming in the sea, you need to walk a little.
Deluxe seaview room was very tastefully decorated and huge, with a balcony looking out over the pool and the beach. I recommend a seaview, as the other rooms look out on an ugly (and I guess noisy) main road.
The included breakfast is a buffet with fruit, cereal, asian food, salads, bacon, eggs, etc. Very nice.
Staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. It's not a huge hotel so the service felt very personal.
My only complaint was the housekeeping which was very late and could do a better cleaning job.

Nice new Hotel. Hotel with pool, bar and restaurant direct on the beach. We use the promotion price to stay in this hotel for 5 days. This room is big also the bed, the bath is with bathtub. Each room have an big balcony. The lobby have three Internet-PC, you must buy an Internet-Card at the reception. Very friendly Hotel!
