The overall atmosphere of the resort is good, the service of the reception is good, room facility is good as well, this resort is worth to stay.
My sister and I and our partners...
My sister and I and our partners stayed here for 5 nights recently. We did not realise it was so close to the airport - don't pay more than 150THB to get here. On arrival we were upgraded from a garden villa to an ocean view villa. The room and bathroom was very nice but we had no privacy at all, especially if we wanted to sit on our balcony as we were situated on the main path to the pool and restaurant and being at ground level we were in full view of everyone (room 2218?).
The hotel is clean and the pool is nice, however we were very dissapointed by the beach - very shallow and rocky water. The service around the pool especially was poor. Also, there is a complimentary shuttle but as there is a new Nora resort nearby the shuttle is shared between the two and is not always on time. Get there at least 15 minutes before.
We had a few too many instances where the service was lacking. For example, we had arranged a late check-out to arrive back to our room to find out it had been cleared / our luggage moved out two hours earlier than agreed. Given that we had an evening flight and were looking forward to a shower it was annoying to say the least.
Overall, if you want to be a little closer to the main drag then this is not the best spot. There is very little around here. Even the minimart is down the hill. I would say it is more suited to families and seniors than couples looking for a romantic getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at Nora Beach Resort and Spa, the staff were always friendly and attentive and the hotel was set in an idealic location with a very relaxed atmosphere. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a tropical relaxing holiday,the pool was magnificent. The only downside was that we had two mobile phones stolen from our locked room as we were at the pool. The reception staff were informed and we waited for a supervisor to speak with us but no one arrived and we had to leave for a flight.

This hotel is located perfectly outside the most restless beach area; anyway close enough to visit the lively Chaveng-road anytime you like. Wery friendly staff, clean rooms, nice pool & beach, outstanding breakfest. Thank you!!! <3

Hotel very disapointing, really old compared to other hotels you can get for the same price on koh samui.
Nothing is worth the money except the breakfast that was nice. Staff not friendly or helpful, room that looks like it's 50 years old and full of insects (yes, inside the room). forget about this place, there are plenty of great hotels on the island

The staff at this hotel are very polite as you expect from Thai people, but I think I suffered a sequence of unfortunate events as the room I stayed had continuous problems. The air con mainly!!. On two occasion it kicked out a stench which can only be described as gas! So one night we were moved to another room so the maintenance could fix it!. Then a few days later my girlfriend and I were a rush to go out after a day out with friends. When attempting to get into the shower we discovered we had no water this lasted up to an hour by that time we had missed our dinner reservation :( not happy. Then a few day before we were due to go home the air con once again kicked out the pungent smell. Maintenance did fix it once again.
There are other hotels near where we stayed that are better value. I think The Nora Beach Hotel is a little tired in its appearance and after the problems we had left a bitter taste.
