I found the Samui Amanda hotel to...
I found the Samui Amanda hotel to be in an idillic location very close to the beach, the staff at the hotel where always very polite and helpful and the restaurant was better than the majority of other restaurants that i visited on the island, the spa was also very good. The rooms were basic but adequate and the whole resort was ideal for a relaxing time. The only downside is that it is a little isolated but travelling around the island to attractions and getting out to see some island nightlife is easy and cheap with Taxis or Tuk Tuk's. One thing that would benefit the hotel would be to improve facilities for children - but saying that my children loved it. I would not hessitate to recomend this hotel to friends or family. The hotel is not situated in a...
The hotel is not situated in a very good spot and the beach is not good for swimming. As there are no bars or shops within walking distance, I feel that the hotel closes too early each night. There is not much to do at this resort, no catering for children. Very disappointed overall.

Our stay at Amanda resort was overall...
Our stay at Amanda resort was overall quite disapointing. The rooms are small, extremely basic with only the minimal of stick furniture and no bathtub in the suites, including that of the honeymoon suite as well. The staff generally struggle with English making all communication difficult. The beach is muddy, clay based, and full of algae as well as far too shallow to attempt swimming. The resort is very far away from any activities and virtually all the hotel leaves in the evening for the long drive into Chaweng beach to avoid the utter lack of anything to do at night. Overall we strongly suggest you give this resort a pass. There are far, far better options out there.

We loved Amanda Resort, the accomm, pool,...
We loved Amanda Resort, the accomm, pool, staff & food was above what we expected. The staff were all very helpful especailly a lady Dow who made us most welcome and gave us a laugh for two over our meals. The location is lovely and the beach front accomm was right on the beach ( you just dont know what to expect when you book over the internet). The massage hut was great and good value as was the dining at the Resort. It is in a quite part of the island but there isn't much need to move from the resort. On the days that you want to go over to the other side of the island for shopping or night life, they offer a shuttle bus service or you can get a taxi (but just remember with the taxi to agree on the price at the start and it's generally half of what the taxi driver first asks for. Restaurant beautiful, food varied and delicious, beautifully romantic location of restaurant beside the sea for fantastic sunsets. Staff pleasant and helpful, a really nice relaxing stay.

Amanda Samui is a very quiet and beautiful resort. The Sea View bugalow near the beach are really very nice. The sunset are beautiful.The personnal was very helpful and the free navet to Nathon, Chaweng or banthai beach are a good idéa. It's a good address

We had a fantastic time in the...
We had a fantastic time in the Amanda resort - The staff were friendly and helpful although they did not speak very good english. The resort is 4km from the nearest town so this would not be a good place if you want to go out in the evenings. The rooms are spotless.
