very very nice hotel
the hotel was cheaper than usually as they were renovating the hotel, but swimming pool already ok en very beautiful. the wheather was nice at arrival(it had been raining for 3 weeks)
Many restaurants close to the hotel i would come back again, of course if price not too expensive. the service super, television went broke and10 min later another one!!!! people do not understand a lot of English, but they are really friendly!!!

Lovely staff, the beach is great. They moved us to a room with a better view as soon as we asked, but the A/C there didn't work properly, so they moved us to another room for one night, so they could fix the A/C and we returned to that room the next morning. The A/C was a lot better but it still took some time to work. The staff is very nice and kind, and also the manager, gave immediate to all our problems and questions, except from one anoying receptionist.
The pool is great, close to the beach, and the breakfast is rich.
I would definitely highly recommend this hotel...
I would definitely highly recommend this hotel to young couples and families. The location is perfect. It is on the beachfront, and at the same time it is just few minutes away from the main street on Lamai Beach, the bars and the shopping area. From all the hotels that I have seen on Lamai beach, I would definitely rate Thai House as #1. The rooms are clean and spacious and the hotel is beautiful.

Selection of food in breakfast is a bit poor, but nothing unusual.

room is just a small garden inside the triangle building configuration. Staffs are generally not speaking good English. My bad experience was from the bath tub - low water pressure for three night. I need to use other room to bath for a time(not convenience).
I reported to the reception to get repair before the night and it have not been fixed until I further
complain. Poor service and follow up!

Very reasonable accommodation well situated within Lamai Beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in room 119, which was right next to reception and was particularly noisy. This was mainly from the activity at the reception desk but also the internet area (the sound of people moving chairs around goes right through to the room). There wasn't always sunbeds available and I think the pool is a little small to accommodate the size of the hotel. The breakfast was *OK*, but could have been better.
However, the staff were VERY helpful - any problems we had were quickly addressed and the beach assistants were marvelous at sourcing a sunbed when availability was poor. The hotel was clean and well presented, and the rooms were a nice size.

The resort was very nice.
The beach is a little bit less than what you would expect from a thai island beach: sand was not so white and smooth, waves brought in a lot of weed etc. We were told the winds were exceptionaly high during our stay, which caused the sea and beach condition. But who goes in the water anyway? Actually, getting a massage on the beach with the sound of waves in the background was perfect.
The nearby hotel has a firework show that keeps you from sleeping too early.
Also, our daughter had borken the ashtray in the room, and they insisted we pay for that, which we thought was rather wierd since its price compared to what we have payed for 5 nights was insignificant.
We expected the hotel to look like...
We expected the hotel to look like or at least resemble the pics on the net. It was far from it and a bit disappointing. We specifically chose it for it's 4 star rating, but I think it's more like a 3.
In saying that, you walk from the pool area directly onto the beach, which was amazing.
We got over the room not being to our expectations and actually had a super time! The staff, as always in Thailand, were extremely helpful, polite and friendly:)
My gripes with the room are as follows:
1. Only two small drawers for unpacking and hanging space- I couldn't unpack properly and left 3/4 of our stuff in the suitcase.
2. No towel rails (this is the design)
3. Not like the pics at all
Likes:
1. Good satellite TV selection (for those rainy days!)
2. Very cheap mini bar and restaurant (in comparison to other hotels throughout Thailand)
3. On the beach
