We stayed in a D/G room for three nights at Al's Resort. It'was pretty acceptable for us in general. But this catalogue rooms were obviously worn out and every thing in the room was old yet still functioning except the flush toilet was stuck once while during our stay. However, glad to see that the renovation had already commenced from one side of the two rows of this kind therefore, the next stay shall be more comfortable in those rooms. The breakfast was good enough to the stander of the resort providing asian and western food and basic beverage like tea, coffee and juice not bad at all. I like the pool although it's bit of small but it's right at beach front where you could easily watch the activities there and the view of sea. We were there in low season(end of May)felt very relaxed and the hotel and beach were uncrowded. But we can imagine what would be like in high season for the hotel as the overall intense lay out of courtyard rooms and villas close to one by one in which you need to shade the window and the big glass door with curtains for the privacy most time of your stay. The unbeatable thing of Al's Resort is its location in each aspect . About 15 minutes from/to the airport by wheel, and stands on a good point at Chaweng Becach with nice white fine sands I would say so too. But the water sports started quite early of the day and getting much heavy in the afternoon so it was a bother for the swimmer like me. The most import factor for us to choose this resort was the value for money: around 1,600 Baht net per night inclusive of tax and daily breakfast for two to stay in Deluxe Garden Room of a hotel at middle of Chaweng Beach with many eateries, shops, money exchanges nearby and a supermarket within 5 minutes' walk, that really was a genuine bargain and nothing you can complain. We appreciated that Asia's Room found the such good deal for us and their reliable booking as well. For those who are the fist time about to visit Koh Samui, we recommend Al's Resort for you as your initial base to explore the island and hope you enjoy the stay like we did.
