We had a few days up our...
We had a few days up our sleeve in Koh Samui and no place to stay so we surfed the net for ideas.Varinda Garden was a lucky find. It looked okay on the internet, in person it was magical! We had a large family room and it was beautiful with lots of room for the 4 of us. No views to speak of but a lovely peaceful environment full of quirky touches. Every corner has something special hidden within it. The family have gone to a lot of trouble to make this place so welcoming. The owners cute dogs roam around the place, they are dear little things. Everyone mentions the pool and it is a wonderful view of the town and coast from up there. The breakfast was nice and tasty. The only down side to this place is the steps, no problem for most people but would probably be an issue for the elderly. Everyone here was so friendly and helpful, I would love to stay again.

I would highly recommend staying at the...
I would highly recommend staying at the Varinda Garden Resort. The resrot gardens are absolutely stunning and makes you feel as if you are in an enchanted forest! Very romantic and very private! The pool area is absolutely breathtaking! The view is spectacular from the pool and the eating area. We were happy with our room and found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. Really loved the Varinda. The staff were...
Really loved the Varinda. The staff were so friendly and the rooms were a nice surprise - cosy and unique. We were given an upgrade to a Family House and would happily go back there and stay with the kids. The pool was awesome and the views. Restaurant was simple but food was good. Excellent value for money! Great location too close enough to everything but quiet.

We loved Varinda Resort!! Would go back...
We loved Varinda Resort!! Would go back in a second! The pool was lovely, the service couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful... We were actually sad leaving. I didn't get to see other rooms but we were in No 27 which had a lovely view, was quiet and private.

This hotel has a great location. It's on a hill, giving you a great view of the ocean, and only a five minute walk to both the beach and the town. The entire place is one big tropical garden, with bungalows situated throughout. Great rooms. Bathrooms were also great for Thailand standards, but maybe a few cobwebs in the high corners. Best part was the pool deck. Beautiful views with covered decks you could climb up to and relax in a hammock. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Just remember the hotel is on the side of a mountain, so it's an uphill climb with a few flights of stairs when coming back from town/beach.

the family who ran this accomodation were...
the family who ran this accomodation were very friendly and went out of their way to give us advice about places to visit and see. the rooms were lovely, perfect if you were on a honeymoon or a romantic holiday. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and would definately recommend this accomodation.

The toilet would not flush for any...
The toilet would not flush for any of the 3 nights we stayed there. We had to ask the hotel to fix it daily, but it was never fixed. There were more bugs in the room than outside. The only nice feature is the swimming pool.

Hotel was great, the rooms were big, the only problem with the rooms were the misquitos, lots at night. About a 10 minute walk to the beach and shopping. The view from the pool was great, breakfast was good. Staff was very helpful.

My wife and I stopped at the Varinda for 6 nights and were pleasantly surprised with the surroundings of the hotel, which were very tranquil. Lots of quaint ornamental things to look at and the staff keep the gardens very tidy. We were greeted with a friendly reception and all the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The rooms were very nicely furbished. The location is a little away from the town (about 10-15 minutes walk), and be aware if you are not too good with stairs as there are quite a few to get to the town, but there is also road access, so a taxi could take you right to the door if you felt a bit lazy. A lovely view of the sea from the pool, also overlooking the town. Once you are in the town you can get easy access through any of the hotels to the beach.

We have just returned from our holiday...
We have just returned from our holiday in Thailand.The Varinda was by far the best place we stayed.It was very clean the rooms were beautiful and the views from the pool were fantastic.The staff will go out of there way to help you and always have a smile.It is a short 5 minuate walk on to the main st only downside is the stairs up and down to the main st.Having said that they do keep you fit and help keep the holiday weight off!!!I would recommend this accommodation and would book it next time i visit.Thank you Linda and all the staff for a pleasant stay and we hope to see you in the future.Jason and Sarah Palmer and Gary and Michelle Hodgeson
