Because the sands are golden rather than white, Meanam is usually much less crowded than Lamai or Chaweng, and Maenam's area still retain much of the local Thai flavor as well as being more reasonably priced, or even inexpensive. Arriving at the hotel at 8.30PM, it was quite difficult to find the entrance. It seemed a bit derelict. It was very hot in the room, as we had to put the key card to get electricity and air condition
