Beautiful tranquil hotel
We had a fabulous time at the Montra and I would definitely stay there again. It is set in beautiful grounds with a lovely large pool which wraps right around all the villas. There are also several nice outside spaces to enjoy and the intimacy of the hotel is one of its best features. Being slightly out of town was a distinct advnatge for us as it was nice being away from the noise and bustle of the tourist centre and the 15 walk into town is very pleasant.
Each villa is very well appointed with the large two person baths and enormous beds both worth a special mention. The hotel chef is very accompished and dinners were some of the best we had in Thailand, not to mention good value. He also ran a Thai cooking class for us which I would strongly recommend doing as the recipes we came away with were delicious. The staff were also lovely and very attentive and gracious. in short I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Relaxing, intimate, stylish, attractive setting and accommodation.
