Excellent family getaway
This is our second visit to the resort and we were not disappointed. We stayed in a premium club room, which was clean and spacious. The club lounge was disappointing though in terms of the selection of snacks and happy hour drinks that were available. We used the spa which was excellent. Our 3 year old really enjoyed the beach and pool. The main restaurant was slightly disappointing for the selection of local Thai dishes available. With so much nice food in Thailand, management should make a special effort to offer a wider choice than standard Western fare when a considerable number of the hotel's guests were Asian. Overall, we had a lovely stay and we will return soon.
wonderful Location
Great Resort at a beautiful location (pools, beach etc).
During our stay it was partly under renovation, but this was hardly annoying. Staff is very friendly, but (in the restaurants) not always able to follow instructions (maybe lack of English?).
Hardly any mosquitos, no scaring wild animals. Prices are reasonable for a 5-star resort.

Nice hotel but far
The hotel's bed is wonderful you just dont want to leave the bed. The frontdesk person was very friendly, and she upgrade us to the ocean view facing room.
the room and facilities are excellent, but the location is a bit far from the hustling bustling of the town.
if you are there to just relax, enjoy the hotel facility and eat the hotel food, then the hotel is perfect. however if you are the adventure kind and would like to see around Krabi area, than the hotel is a bit far and you need to get taxi back and forth to Ao Nang or Krabi town.

very plaisant stay
We staied 5 days at the Sheraton in Krabi. With 2 swimming-pools and a very nice beach, we and our 2 childs (10 and 13) had a very plaisant stay. The staff is very helpfull. So we would recommand this hotel. Just in front and near the resort, could you find some restaurants who offer very attractives prices.
There was somme noise with the renovation of the spa and some rooms but it was really not so disturbing.

Nice and peaceful stay Sheraton krabi
We stayed 3 nights in June and had a relaxing time. Hotel has big compound and beautiful garden but rooms look tired for sheraton standard and are in need for upgrading. Food was good and the lunch offer at the Gecko restaurant was good value for money.
Of the 9 hotels we stayed in...
Of the 9 hotels we stayed in SE Asia we had the worst experience here. We only stayed 1 night on our way back from Phi Phi Island and the next morning we had to catch our flight to Bangkok. We were driven by golf cart to check out the following morning as we arrived at the front desk my girlfriend said she forgot something in the room. While I checked out she was driven back to the room. When she got into the room there were 2 hotel employees there supposedly checking the mini bar. Unfortunately my girlfriend's money belt which was in the unlocked safe was gone. The 2 staff were also eating leftover fruit which we hadn't consumed. AT this point my girlfriend assumed maybe I had taken the belt and immideately returned to the front desk and I told her that I hadn't taken her money belt. Then we all went back to the room with the manager which we searched to no avail and of course the 2 employess were gone by then. So the money belt was gone within a period of 5 minutes and the only people in the room were the 2 employees. They insisted on going through all our luggage which turned up no money belt. After all this we had to skip out on our included breakfast as we were out of time to catch our flight. A month later the hotel gets back to me after an ivestigation. They quoted me Thai law and advised me it was impossible any outsiders got into the room!! What a joke. There was only about 150 US in the money belt but took us some more money and 3 hours in Bangkok to get the credit cards cancelled. Yes it was our fault for forgeting the money belt the fact is it dissapeared within 5 minute period with only hotel employees in it so fugure it out. WHile the hotel's facilties were decent the beach was no where as nice as the ones on Phi Phi Island. Just be warned to keep your valubales in sight.

Very good hotel, but lose in some details that we expect to be different in a 5 star hotel.
But it’s location on the beautiful beach make us close the eyes about it...

Beautiful grounds, lovely swimming pool and swim up bar. We loved the fact that the pool was open 24 hours and was away from the rooms.
Breakfast was fantastic - they cooked all hot food to order rather than just a big buffet. The beach was lovely - I got to swim with the elephant!
my only dissapointment was the mandara spa as it was really expensive and not at all relaxing. I paid more than the room rate for a 90 minute procedure and it was not as good as the cheap massages in the street.
We went in June which I think must be the best time as it was the low season and there werent many people there at all.
Dont bother with the shuttle bus as it is infrequent and expensive. there is a "taxi" stand out the front which involves you standing at the side of the road till a man who lives near by notices you and will drive you into Ao nang for less.
Also there are some reasonable restaurants outside the grounds if you dont want to be stuck with the hotels pricey dining all the time. They make a pretty good margarita at the restaurant over the road but beware the duck curry as it is a bit weird... think it was smoked duck or something strange.
