Excellent position as only a minor hardly used access road separated the hotel from the beach. While local shops were close by, they were nicely separated from the hotel. We stayed in a spacious pavilion room, one without a view, but set in landscaped gardens and close to all hotel amenities. The a la carte dinner service was slow, and hot food was served cold on one occasion when we had guests. While this might have been the exception, we generally chose to eat in one of many good and reasonably priced restaurants close by. Serve yourself "American" breakfasts were adequate, but very repetitive. Omelettes were excellent, and made on the spot. We found it odd and disappointing that the hotel refused to supply an extra room key, even when we had an additional teenager guest in the room - there were 3 of us in the room some nights, but mostly only 2. We couldn't give our teenager our room key at night without losing electricity and hence air conditioning, which is essential in that heat and humidity. So we had to be woken up to let him in at night! The extra bed that was brought in when the third person slept there was the fold up type, only just acceptable for comfort; and this was only after we had requested an exchange for a better 3rd bed. The king size bed in the room had a mattress that was just too firm for our comfort. There were some language difficulties with the ever-helpful staff - we spoke English but some staff nodded knowingly while clearly not understanding what we said to them. Despite some of these misgivings we would be most happy to commend the hotel to others, and to stay there again.
