We had a beautiful bungalow in between...

We had a beautiful bungalow in between the trees, birds and possums. Only a 6 minute walk to the pool and breakfast area and if it rains umbrellas are provided. From the bungalow to the beach takes about 9-10 minutes, while te main street is right outside the entrance to resort. For those that enjoy a quiet place surrounded by trees, bush and wildlife and don't mind a short walk this place is value for money and a very good breakfast is provided as well!

Fantastic hotel. Staff were superb and...

Fantastic hotel. Staff were superb and very friendly. They could not do enough for you. Food was very good and about the right price given it was a resort. Would definately stay there again. Photo's do not do it justice. We stayed in a wooden bungalow up in the hill and it was lovely and quiet even when busy. Everything was in walking distance - beach, shops, bars and long boats to surrounding islands visible from the beaches.

We got an old and smelly wooden-bungalow...

We got an old and smelly wooden-bungalow up the hill to the right (B15). Aircon impossible to adjust to our like. Called reception. Nobody answered. Called again. Nobody answered. Called again and there you are: "We are going to send the technician..." He told us what receptionist didn't know (?): There is a sensor outside the bungalow who regulates according to the outside themperature. What a modern installation for this aged bungalow! But even he couldn't make it less noisy... Would you like to have a lake in your bathroom? Just have a shower and look what happenes... Next day after a long journey we were looking forward to take a shower but no shampoo, no conditioner and no shower-creme like provided the day before. Called (bungalow is far from the reception...) and was promised they will send someone. Called again after half an hour (!), nobody answered the phone. Called again, called again. Finally a "big sorry, in 5 minutes..." and indeed, 5 minutes later an old lady, older then the bungalow I presume, was rushed up and stood in front of our door, huffing and puffing! For this bungalow they ask for 8000 Baht a day between X-Mas and New Year? Dont make me laugh!

Room has a bit of damp smell...

Room has a bit of damp smell and dirty towels on the first day. Staff are not well versed in English therefore communication is difficult. Other than that the place is beautiful and clean and short walking distance to the shops and beaches.

The Asia Rooms customer reviews were generally spot on. The hotel location is ideal, close to Ao Nang beach, restaurants and shops, with easy access to and from Krabi airport. It's worth upgrading to the deluxe room, but make sure you request one near the swimming pool. The room was clean and spacious, with an enormous, but not very comfortable bed. The bathroom was adequate, but if you are stuck in the room during the rainy season, don't rely on getting a clear picture through the cable TV channels. Breakfast was adequate, with little variety. The only real negative during our stay was the hotel management's initial non-reaction when a series of power failure occured, but overall the hotel is good value for money.

Thanks to the Asia rooms ,the hotel...

Thanks to the Asia rooms ,the hotel and the location wise is excellent although it's not a problem where we have to walk about 10 minutes to the beach site.Hotel room is great but thank God we did not choose the new bungalow as some on going works were going on.When my wife and myself arrived via the bus from airport,we just crossed the road while pulling our luggage behind,the bell boy upon seeing us ran towards the main road and helped us to carry our luggage.And that's what i called an 5 star hospitality excellence.The front office girls are quite friendly except for one which is quite snobbish.Her name is "Cha".She's quite reluctant to face eye to eye with the customers,and that's very poor impression for the front line staffs.Breakfast served are quite good standard and no complains at all as we considered this a 3 star hotel and shamed to those who complained about the food served here! I will probably stay again perhaps for 1 night in Krabi as we are planning to return in later months to stay in Phi Phi island.We find Krabi kinda touristic and quite expensive from stuffs like T-shirts,souveniers etc as compared to Bali and Siem Reap.Even the cab is so expensive.Must say that the westerners have already spoiled the market.Too many western restaurants here but the thai food here is marvellous and excellent.And also plus point is quite safe to walk at night(just like in Bali or Siem Reap)as compared back home in Kuala Lumpur where the snatch thieves are so rampant!

Tipa Resort is very conveniently located near...

Tipa Resort is very conveniently located near the beach, convenience store and the main road and that's a big plus. We booked a triple room for ourselves and our daughter and when we arrived the room was not ready. But then the staff added additional bed and towels to our room. The overall impression of the hotel was positive, the only one comment I have about the room towels. They were clean, but very used and not really white, probably because guests used them for the beach. There is a possibility to rent a beach towel for 20 BHT. The breakfast buffet did not present a big variety, but we stayed there only three days so it was not a problem for us. Overall impression of the hotel was positive and we would stay there again.

WE HAVE BOOKED 4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS...

WE HAVE BOOKED 4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS AT TIPA RESORT BASED ON THE REVIEW ON ASIAROOMS.COM. WHEN WE REACHED THE RESORT, TO OUR SUPRISED THE RESORT LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN THE PICTURES!! THE PEOPLE WORKING AT THE FRONT DESK WERE VERY HELPFUL TOO. THE SURROUNDING WHICH IS A JUNGLE, IS VERY INTERESTING AND WELL MAINTAINED. WE BOOKED 2 STANDARD ROOMS FOR OUR STAY. I THINK IF I WOULD VISIT KRABI AGAIN, I WOULD WANT TO STAY IN THEIR BUNGALOW. THE LOCATION OF TIPA RESORT IS ALSO VERY CONVENIENT. JUST WALK OUT OF THE RESORT, THERE IS EVERYTHING THAT WE NEED!!

I rent bungalow "Chalet" type at Tipa...

I rent bungalow "Chalet" type at Tipa Hotel for 4D3N.We are happy to stay here,but there are something need to improve: No shuttle are offer to bring to the bungalow when it is raining. We need to walk long way from hotel lobby to our's room under raining.It really bad :( And the first day i check in, there are no bath towel and no two bottle of mineral water is available at the room. The international breakfast buffet dont offer much variety-everyday same menu! The Swimming pool is small. The location of the hotel is good, near to the aonang beach.I give Grade B to Tipa Hotel.
