Tipa Resort is in a very central location - within Aonang area...lots of food and shopping available, within walking distance.
However, suggest that old folks or those who do not like walking up hills NOT to choose the bungalows. They should opt for the other rooms, which is near the entrance of the resort or by the swimming pool... The walk to some of the bungalows can be quite exhausting...
The Bungalows are good for those who loves eco-adventures, as it is nestled by the 'jungle' and lots of greens. It's very private, as each Bungalow are separated from each other...
Breakfast options are quite limited.
Service is OK - they made swan origamis out of towels and tissue papers, as we were honeymooners. The origamis were also decorated with flowers!
Aonang area is still quite some distance to Krabi town, about 30km away. Getting to town is NOT cheap, so suggest that you just stay in Aonang area as it's adequate for shopping, massage and food.
Oh and yes - they charge for everything, so don't even take their 'laundry bag' away.... :)

Stay at this hotel for 4 nights in Deluxe room. Good settings, quiet and very friendly staff. Overall good but breakfast can be better than what was on offer. Will surely stay here again the next visit.

Overall is accetapble! Alot of mosquitoes due to the bungalow is surrounded with plants and trees. From lobbby or entrance to the bungalow unit is quite far in distance which located on high level too cause us reluctant to walk after coming back from outside especially after our outdoor activities. The hotel staff were friendly and fast response, facilities and breakfast were quite typical with other hotel, nothing special. However, i will recommend it to my friend who likes to stay in hotel surrounded with natural environment

Good hotel for that reasonable price. Very central located by only 3 minutes walking distance to Ao Nang beach. Plenty of restaurants, bars and supermarkets are nearby the hotel but far enough to have a quiet and comfortable stay. We stayed in a deluxe room just 20 m from swimming pool. Breakfast buffet could be a little more diversified. We will come back again.

We spent seven night at Tipa staying at deluxe room type.Room itself was spacious and cleaned everyday to high level.Bathroom was also ok even though was little bit flooded after having long shower,but it was acceptable.Breakfast was ok, but not much variety.Pool was a little bit small consider resort but as we were there during low season we had place everytime we decided to be there.Location of the resort is perfect,it is in the centre of Ao Nang close to bars,restaurants and the beach.The staff speaks little English and sometimes they brought us completly different thing we asked for,but they tried their best.All in all,I would definitely recommend Tipa to everybody who wants to have a peacefull and unforgetable holiday.It's really value for money.Thanks Asiarooms for great tip.

There were nine of us staying in Tipa Resort Hotel during our 4D/3N stay in Krabi.
As we get to know in advance that Tipa Resort Hotel is just a 3-star-ranked hotel, we did not place much expectation on the level of quality of their services.
However, we found we had our good time in Tipa. The service staff are all very friendly and helpful. There was no communication problem at all.
Surrounding areas was quite and peaceful especially for those who are staying in Bungalow and Deluxe room type.
We also found that cleanliness was observed all the time at all places although some of us did not get used to the smell on hotel towels. Also, some hotel bathrooms were slightly flooded if long shower was taken. But this was just a small matter.
The breakfast was fine although not much variety provded maybe due to low season.
I would strongly suggest Tipa Resort to those who intend to have unforgetable and enjoyable holidays in Krabi.

I booked Tipa resort based on the reviews of Asiarooms. Everthing was so true from the review and we made the right choice. I initially booked for a bungalow but changed it to a Baanmai(bigger bungalow upon arrival) with an ocean view. The resort location is amazing with full of greenery, calm and serene, surrounded by nature. Though our room was high on the hill, the club car was always available to go up and down.Never walked the slopes. There are rooms on the ground level too.The beach is only a 5 minutes walk, shopping and restaurants are in front of the hotel. Tanta restaurant is a 2 minute walk from the hotel towrds the right side and serves great food.Breakfast is good at the hotel. Enjoyed the swimming pool. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Noppathara beach is beautiful and 10 minutes away by tricycle and has to be visited for a swim, speed boat ride and breathtaking photography. We look forward to our next trip to Krabi and will stay gain at Tipa resort. Overall, VALUE FOR MONEY and excellent location.Thank you Asiarooms for posting all reviews which helped us select TIPA RESORT.

Great place to stay, excellent location and wonderful staff who were very accommadating. This was a perfect 4 day stay.

We spent two nights at this resort and were staying at the bungalow type. I would say the rooms and breakfast are average. More suitable for those urban dwellers whom are nature lover. Peace and quiet except for the relentless pursuers (mosquitoes) out for fresh blood! However, the service rendered by the employees of this resort are in top-notch. Always ready to assist with warm smile. Do keep up the good works. Another good point is the location of the resort which is within walking distance to all the main shops, restaurants and beach as well. So we save a lots on the transportation.
