Tipa Resort was great. I was very pleased with the room and facilities provided.
The rooms were very large, individual Thai style bunglows on stilts. The rooms look better than the photos on the Asia rooms website. The whole place had a very laid back feel and it was like staying in a rain forect with all the trees surrounding the bunglows.
There was also a beautiful pool, where one could have pool side massages and drinks area just below the pool. The backdrop of the Krabi limestone cliff made the pool area look really spectacular.
The service standards at Tipa Resort were fantastic and all the staff should be commended. They made all the difference making my stay highly enjoyable and perfect. From giving me the welcome drink to dropping me off at MacDonald's to catch the airport shuttle, the staff at Tipa Resort always had a smile and seemed genuinely friendly.
Breakfast was also very good, with the food changed regularly.
The location of Tipa Resort was really good too. Right in the middle of Ao Nang, near all the internet cafes and shops.
There is also a very inexpensive and really authentic Thai restaurant called Boat Restaurant about 7 mins walk away on the left hand direction of the resort (opposite side of road).
All in all a fantastic place to stay while on holiday.
