I was staying in the bungalow, and...
I was staying in the bungalow, and the overall experience is very good, but just 2 comments: Mosquitoes - The room should have provided mosquito coils or some kind of repellents, as there are lots of them at night! Food - The Thai food at the in-house restaurant is excellent, but the western food is left to be desired. Hope that they can improve on that. All in all, I would recommend this resort to families and they should stay near to the swimming pool area, as it is very nice and relaxing!

Good hotel. Near the beach (only 3-5 minutes walking). You have a lot of facilities near the hotel (restaurants, shops, travel agencies,...). The breakfast is good. All the days the same breakfast but good. The worst is that the room doesn`t have mini bar.

Check-in was good, done in 15 minutes.Other friends who have stayed here before during the mid to high season commented that it took 2 hours to check-in.Management must pay heed to this especially for Europen and Australian guests who have been on the plane for so long hours.The reception area will do well to have some ceiling fans as it can be very warm in the afternoons. The room facilities could do well with a larger TV screen and not the miserable 14" screen.A hair dryer and a safe will be appreciated. The breakfast needs to have a rotation of menu.Its the same old things offered everyday. The children's playground and its facilities need upgrading and the ground itself need to be foam turfed and not the unkempt grassy and muddy site it currently is.Sand will also do fine though.

The rooms were just good for a...
The rooms were just good for a family of four. The surroundings is very refreshing due to the trees and plants around. The cottages however can be reached through somewhat steep climb which is not suitable for elderly. Breakfast could be improved.

The breakfast was bad, flies and bees could be seen inside the jam. Not much variety. We wanted to book another room for two nights but no discount was given and end up we had paid more than booking thro asiaroom.com. Not worth to stay in Tipa Resort without any facilities and yet we paid for quite an expensive rate. We won't recommend any visitor to stay here.

We visited Tipa Resort for the 4th...
We visited Tipa Resort for the 4th time, which indicates that we are very satisfied with Tipa - the room rate taken into consideration. Every stay app 4-5 nights and every time in low season. We enjoy the few guests at the hotel in the period (nice for us, but of course not for the hotel), one day we had the pool all by ourselves. Staff is very kind, helpful and serviceminded. We stayed in rooms, which are large and very nice, big bathroom, nice balcony. Quiet location up the hillside, and yet just a few minutes walk to the center and shopping area. We will stay at Tipa again next time. Anita + Henrik, Denmark.

my friend and i stayed at tipa...
my friend and i stayed at tipa resort for three nights in June 2007. We arrived after a long journey from Koh Phangnan to a fabulous reception and excellent service. The hotel has 24hr reception and security guards. We stayed in a deluxe room which has to be the nicest hotel room i have ever stayed in. The room size was huge and all facilities were beautifully presented. breakfast was included and offered a wide selection to suit all tastes. The pool area was very nice offering shaded areas as well as pool towels free of charge. We we also able to have late check out at no extra cost. the hotel's location is a short walk(less than 5mins) to the beach and main "promenade" in Ao Nang. I would certainly recommend others to stay at tipa resort

Good location, the Bungalows were good value...
Good location, the Bungalows were good value & secluded in lovely surroundings. The staff were excellent, very friendly & helpful. The only disappointment was breakfast, very confusing & not much choice.

Having traveled to Krabi a few times...
Having traveled to Krabi a few times we found Tipa to suit us perfectly. The walk to the bungalows is a bit far and the pool area could do with a little more attention to cleaning. The service on arrival is great and the next time we travel to Krabi we would definately consider Tipa again.
