Our room was lovely, it was light...
Our room was lovely, it was light and airy on an upper floor. It should have had a view of the pool but this was blocked by trees; this did not bother us as we had views of the mountains and forest beyond. The facilities at the hotel were good. The staff were cheerful, helpful and polite.
We had a number of stairs to climb to get to our room but could have requested a ground floor room to avoid this.
The area that the hotel is in is rather commercialised. This is fine if you want shopping on your doorstep. There are a number of pubs and cafes within walking distance from the hotel, however we travelled further away, by taxi (watch the prices), to find a good restaurant. The beach was beautiful but very noisy and busy. It was noisy due to all the boats continually ferrying people back and forth to the islands. Quieter beaches can be found if you travel further up the coast.
We hired brand new motor bikes for £3 per day just outside the hotel. This gave us the freedom to see more of Krabi and the beautiful countryside beyond.

We stayed in a superior bungalow with a beautiful extraordinary bathroom. Pool was okay but we did not use the pool area due to construction works (new building) close to it. Open air breakfast room direct at the beach but buffet was a little bit poor.
Result: Superior bungalows are clean and adequate. Hotel can be recommended due to good price relationship.

Nice cabin on a hill under the trees. Very romantic settings and quiet. Helpfull and friendly staff makes you feel welcome.

I went in a group and we stayed at the Bungalows, which are located in a kind of a forest setting. (A very short walk from the hotel Reception area.) The surrounding is full of nature and simply refreshing! Although there are lamps along the way to the bungalows, it gets rather dark in the night, so having a torch light with you at night will certainly make the walk to & fro the bungalows more reassuring (especially for ladies).
The rooms are spacious and relatively clean. (You don't get mosquitoes unless you leave the room door opened.) The staff were very friendly, though they hardly speak English. Breakfast was acceptable by my standard. (The usual toast, eggs, ham, sausage, fruits,... and even porridge!) The location is excellent. Just right outside the hotels you will find shops and restaurants, money changer and all.

Tipa resort standard rooms are well equiped & are a good size. The rooms are clean & stylish. The location is excellent. Close to shops, bars & cafes but far enough away from street noise. Only a short walk to the beach. I felt we had an excellent room for the price. Highly recommend this resort & I would stay there again next visit to Krabi.

Worth the amount i was paying for a night there. Beautiful room, nicely decorated. If only there was a bathtub in the bungalow. Very friendly staffs. Very near to the beach. Ggreat place to stay. Highly recommended.

Location of the hotel is pretty good, just few mintues walk to beach and shopping area.
Too little variety of the buffet spread. Swimming pool is too small and dirty. No other facilities available. Superior rooms are quite big. Hotel staff were very polite but not many of them know how to speak English.
Relatively idea place for budget travellers. Not recommended for couples or seniors.
