Great location, lovely clean room and bathroom too. Buffet breakfast was average, not the best around. Staff service was mediocre, polite enough but they should try to smile more! The only real negative would be the massage services. It was located next to the pool, without any enclosures, offering no privacy at all! A shame for a nice hotel. Overall, a nice hotel to stay in, would definitely stay again.

This is the third time we have stayed at Tipa.
Improvements (as compared to the last stay)includes the completed swimming pool and the new breakfast dining area.
The older bungalow units ie B1 to B18 look and feel worn out.Management would do well to maintain them.The piping system at the unit we stayed in had low water pressure.
Tipa now charges Baht 20 per beach towel per day (non-refundable). Although it is an insignificant amount, they are only encouraging guests to take the bath towels to their beach romps. It would be better to charge a refundable flat rate say Baht 40 per beach towel for the length of the guests' stay and if not returned then the deposit is forfeit.
It was a nice touch to have a welcome board at the entrance with your name on it when you arrive.Tipa should reward her repeat clientele with a souvenier or something.
The breakfast menu although with enough to eat has its main courses repeated everyday.ie fried rice, fried noodles..there is no variety change daily.And is further cheapened by serving fruit cordial instead of juice.
Tipa must review these little shortcomings as guests are spoilt for choice of hotels at Krabi.
The reason why we returned to Tipa for a 4 night stay is the excellent service staff...this is one thing they must not attempt to change.. please note we are referring to this by Thai standards.

The hotel is very well situated and it is a good value for money. We stayed in a bungalow with a twin bed and one of the beds was a bit hard, but as I said, it was a good value for the money we spent.

This resort, rooms and pool are lovely, location was great. Some of the rooms are on a hill and a buggy can pick you up & drop you at your room if you stay at the resorts best rooms on the hill. So the hill is not a problem, like a few reviews had reported. Elderly could stay at different rooms with less stairs. Helpful staff and generally a lovely place to stay.

Staff were very professional and friendly. The resort is located about 100m from the beach and far enough away from the noise to allow a peaceful stay.
We stayed in a bungalow which was accessed by numerous steps, so perhaps not suitable for the elderly or unfit. The benefit though was that we were far away from everything so we could totally unwind and relax.
The room was beginning to show its age, but was clean and more than adequate in size. One problem we did have was the air con and fridge were very noisy so to allow sleep we turned both off during the night.
Breakfast was okay, the first morning was a cooked la carte (very few resort guests) and the second a buffet which was stone cold as the kitchen staff had forgotten to put burners under the chaeffing dishes.
Despite a couple of minor problems we both enjoyed our short stay at Tipa, the resort was most refreshing after a few days at Bangkok, and we would most likely stay again.

We spend a nice time at the Tipa Resort. I really like the bungalows surrounded by trees, green plants and flowers. Very quiet and restaurants and the beach are near by. Everything is just a 5 min walk away.
The Breakfast was not so nice. European don't like rice for breakfast. And the toast, jam as well the instant coffee wasn't really my taste. It was not a big problem because Starbucks and others are just arround the corner.
