Great hotell overall. Set it beautilful green...
Great hotell overall. Set it beautilful green gardens. We stayed for 1 week in March 07. The room was beautiful, we had the suite on the top floor (no lift so you will need to be reasonably fit) with a jacuzzi. Always clean, good aircon, great views over the pool, hills and all the sea. Only a few minutes walk to the beach, not as far as some reviews had led me to believe.
Breakfast was ok, but we didn't find the "egg" counter until our last day.. It was outside the breakfast room.
Good service from all staff and especially the very kind manager who spent hours on the phone re-booking my flight! I discovered a day before we were due to leave that I had booked our connecting flight to Bangkok on the wrong day. He rang various airlines and booking companies and in the end arranged to have the flight changed at no cost.
Would definately stay here again!

The hotel is absolutely fantastic I would highly recommend staying. The location is brilliant, about 5mins walk to the beach, a shop open late right next door, restuarants on the door step. The staff could not be faulted in any way they were attentive & helpful at all times. We would definately return to Krabi & stay in this hotel. If you stay in Krabi explore on mopeds or tuk tuks very cheap, as you will find alot of deserted beaches completely untouched & natural, amazing. This hotel is probably the best we have ever stayed in whilst travelling in Thailand & we have been coming for many years.

Staying in this hotel was like staying...
Staying in this hotel was like staying in Paradise. I don't know about the standard or deluxe rooms but the suite was fabulous! Great set up and a beautiful view from the balcony. Great location, polite staff, good service, lovely pool, lots of greenery, ethnic spa... I still think that the hotel can afford to offer free ADSL lines in the suites.

The reception was small and was worried...
The reception was small and was worried about leaving our luggages just at the lobby left corner of the reception especially during this period 17-19 Mar, the resort was full and many other luggages were assembled for check-out. Thanks for the welcome rose display 'heart shape' display on the bed and bath tub filled with rose petals for warm welcome. Breakfast was great as we made a request for some Asian foods (we were only Asian couple during our stay)and we were excited to saviour some local delights. Pool was a bit small packed with many Scandinavian tourists. The supermarket next to the resort priced very reasonable. staff were very friendly and helpful. Not ideal for handicapped as no lifts in the resort, got to climb or walk throught the steps from going swimming pool, to room, to restaurants. The beach is far from this resort but if you like some privacy, the location is ideal and many eateries are just along the streets.

Excellent service. Arrived early, so they did not have the room yet - hotel staff provided towels, tea and prepared our instant noodles for our light breakfast - with bowls, utensils and water FOC. This made the wait - about an hour, tolerable.
Staff is friendly and prompt and manager will go around tables during breakfast to greet and get feedback.
Breakfast spread is good.
Room and general areas are scented with burners and overall feel is that resort is one with nature.
Suites have great view of mountain, pool and of sea.
A little further away from beach, but this makes it close to the food e.g. Bernies and far from the noisy boats. Since it is on the left side of the U-shaped main road, it is nearer to the nicer part of the beach.
No lift - suites are on top floor, but the climb is worth it since the room is so nice with the large bathtub you can almost sleep in. It's in the room itself and is decorated upon arrival with flowers - a a nice touch.
Don't book the day trips there though since they charge higher then the small shops near the beach.
Do request for a kettle (it'll come filled) and bring your own 3in1 beverages - not provided, which I hear is quite standard for the hotels there.
There is a reasonably priced supermarket next to the lobby and a Big Chang restaurant that serves BBQ dinner at OK prices - some are lower than other restaurants, cafes in the area.
Will go back again if possible.

Went in Feb 2006 and found the room to be a decent size, clean and a decent view over the nice pool area. The best thing about this hotel is the location - it is set close enough from the resort to be within a short walk from the busier areas but is not too noisy or busy. Plenty of cheap decent restaurants, internet cafes and bars close by. Staff were friendly enough but few spoke English and the service was pretty average. The resort itself is busy enough for those seeking nightlife etc but also suitable for those after a quiet family break. Overall, this is a fairly good hotel in a decent location.
Overall a good new and quiet hotel...
Overall a good new and quiet hotel with nice design and beautiful landscape, however located a little bit far away from the beach (samlors are not always promptly available on the street and no shuttle service is offered by the hotel)and having many narrow walkaways and steps (there is no lift) so that the whole is a little bit uncomfortable for people who have to carry babies. The so called suites are rooms with a large bathtube in the middle, which can be nice, but it is hardly acceptable and in some circumstances embarrassing that toilets have no door and communicate directly with the room! The room balcony is very nice and large offering a good view. The secretarial service proved to be unreliable: I had to wait nearly 24 hours before an urgent e-mail message sent by my office because of an emergency is delivered to me after I kept asking for it (and I only got the first page of it). Awkward and time consuming also booking a trip with the concierge.

Stayed at the Vogue Pranang Bay Resort...
Stayed at the Vogue Pranang Bay Resort And Spa 5 nights in Nov 2005. A very pleasant surprise when you walk in from the plain-looking street. A lovely place, well maintained and run, helpful staff. Lots of nice little corners within the inner garden, the pool, the spa, etc. Spa for messages etc is exquisite (though quite pricy). The restaurant (mainly for breakfast) is lovely too with a variety of choices. Rooms are comfortable and very clean, nice balcony with sufficient privacy. Only consideration is quite a few stairways up to your room, but didn't effect our stay or our impression. Location is a bit inland from the beach, about 7 min walk, but you don't really feel it as there are many shops and restaurants along the street.
I would recommend it without any hesitation.

The hotel complex, room, staff and food were magnificent. We were on honeymoon and the hotel had done something special to the room before we arrived (I won't say what as it will spoil the surprise). Nothing was too much trouble and the hospitality was second to none. Very very recommended.
