Check into Ao Nang Princeville on the 21 Jul07 and stayed for 3 nights.
What's Good
1. breakfast has satisfactory variety. The Asian spread changes everyday and is pretty delicious. Can't say anything for the western spread since its all the same everyday.
2. Location - Right in the middle of Ao Nang main st, walking dist from shopping areas and the pier for long tail boat.
3. Jacuzzi pool. Cool.
What's not
1. Rotting smell in the bathroom due to something rotting in the ventilation system somewhere. Called the housekeeping and they sprayed air freshener and walked away. Of course that did not solve the prob. So I bathed for 2 nights without light so as to avoid activating the fan that brings the smell.
2. Poor house keeping
Floor was dirty and sticky when i checked in. Slippers are not in pairs (they think guests either have 2 left or 2 right foot, not both)
3. door knob not fuctioning properly. Staff took 1 day to oil it.
4. Service staff spoke very little English. But i think this prob seems to be prevalent everywhere on Krabi.
Overall, i regretted not paying slightly more to stay in a better hotel.
