We loved the expereince. Beautiful hotel and very nice staff. The pool is great and the feeling of tropics is overwhelming. Good breakfast in a lovely setting. Our room was smaller than expected but I think I made a mistake while booking and took the smaller one. They are working on things in teh hotel at the moment but it is not disturbing. Kids loved the pool and the good thing is this hotel isn't overcrowded. Certainly would stay again. I think one of the most pleasasnt hotels we ever stayed.

When I booked this hotel there were no standard rooms available so I booked a deluxe room. This was probably the best thing about the hotel, the size of the room, I think it is meant for 3 people. There is a DVD player in the room and everyday they bring you complimentary fruit and water.
The location is also good, a 5 minute walk into the centre of Ao Nang.
However I'm not sure how I felt about the 'jungle'setting of the hotel. Yes, it is probably nicer that anything nice on Ao Nang, but then that isnt saying very much at all. I just dont know whether it works at all.
I never ate in the restaurant, except for breakfast. The staff at breakfast clearly need some lessons in hospitality and the breakfast itself was a disapointing sight. I dont know why they thought Westerners would like to eat chicken nuggets and chips for breakfast. I certainly dont.

Centrally located within town & 10 minutes walk to most F&B, shopping, travel agents, beach etc. Hotel was clean & tranquil with that special back to nature eco feel but with modern amenities. Overall stay was fantastic with good service/friendly people in Krabi!

First of all, I'm very satisfied staying in Somkiet Buri Resort..everything is great,the room is perfectly decorated for my honeymoon stay. That was really romantic and the breakfast is delicious and fresh...but the fruits should cover up with plastic to prevent the bees hanging around the fruits. Beside that, staff are polite..especially the young receptionist girl..she is good..polite and cheerful.. The surrounding is beautiful..just like a japanese garden..Anyway, I would recommend this resort to others especially my friends..it is beautiful and value for money.

Unfriendly staff..in the land of Smiles..this can...
Unfriendly staff..in the land of Smiles..this can make for an unpleasant start to a holiday. Stayed 4 nights 25th - 29th May.. Nice location but no customer relations at all.. seem that the staff were just there sitting around the restaurant..or just walking around.. staff at the reception had no idea.. when i asked at 5pm if the room was going to be cleaned... “clean in the afternoon” was the response..the room i stayed in "Poolside" was in need of total refurbishment..bathroom door was so badly water-damaged that it didn’t close.. no water pressure from shower.. and the bed had a strange odour.. on further inspection i could see why “ i ask latter at reception when or how often they changed the beds.. i was told that they didn’t know? the Pool was ok.. and that is about the only good thing about this Hotel.

The hotel property is like an oasis, with meandering paths and boardwalks to your room, pool etc.
Despite the hotel being pretty much right in the middle of Ao Nang, once you are on the property, you feel like you are in a serene place: lots of trees and shrubs, fish ponds and you can even hear frogs.
The room itself is great! We had an upstairs room. I think all rooms had a balcony but being upstairs, it was more private. We had an outlook over trees and it felt very private. The room is huge and clean, as is the bathroom.
I would go back to Ao Nang just to stay there again!

Wonderful resort with very nice rooms and perfect located. Short distance to the beach, many restaurants and shops in the surrounding. Only the breakfast could be improved, more choice and it should be offered somewhere inside.
But we enjoyed our stay there very much.
