the staff was superior in their service and showed respect. their friendliness made the stay memorable. the facilities were also excellent and the serving of breakfast outside our room was a pleasant surprise. I would strongly recommend this hotel to any couple.

The Cliff Ao Nang resort has a nice pool and offers cooking lessons from friendly kitchen stuff. However, the room is very small, albeit with a nice bathroom. What really peeved me, however, was the check out experience. I had to wait, along with my pregnant wife, half an hour to check out because the credit card machine had a problem, when paying for extras. They could not accept my first card, and asked me for a second card, and then told me there was a fault with the system. During this time, I requested for some water while waiting but it never came. Finally, they did a manual swipe and requested that I wait while they called the visa/mastercard company. I waited for a long time before getting fed up as it had started to rain and I felt I should not have to wait so long to check out, especially at a hotel that I had paid top dollar for. In any case, I told them that since they had already done a manual imprint of my card there was no necessity to make me wait. This incident totally sullied my experience.

We enjoyed our short stay here in December 2005. The service is top-notch, with smiling, helpful and attentive staff members who make you feel right at home. They give you water to drink even if you are not dining, wipe the pool decks for you and blow the fan in your direction to ward off mozzies. True initiative. Food is excellent too! In terms of the resort layout, it's pretty tight and the rooms are extremely small (though lovely, with a nice outdoor concept bathroom), so if size is important for you, this may not be the place for you. But space aside, the charm of this place is in its wonderful landscaping and privacy. The pool is very inviting and the location of the resort is away from the touristy Krabi town yet walkable. The view is breathtaking in the morning with the mists swirling over the cliffs. We recommend this place if you are very particular about good service. Because of its small size, avoid peak period. We only had a few guests here so we did not feel claustrophobic, but we can imagine how tight it could feel if there were more guests around.

Wonderful rooms and fantastic staff. The bathrooms, in particular, are excellent. What sets this hotel apart from the others is the 'natural' feel of everything. We went during the 'monsoon' season (early July), but it was still great - plenty of sunshine. the beach only a 10 minute walk.

Beautiful rooms and a lovely pool with a view of the cliff. A short walk or ride to the beach. We were very well looked after and would definitley recommend this as the place to stay in Krabi.

We spent 7 wonderful nights at this hotel and would highly recommend it. Our stay was exactly what we wanted, peaceful & relaxing. The service was unquestionable, food excellent and we were very well looked after. I liked the first name approach.
