We stayed 3 nights at the Ao Nang Sunset hotel. The bedside lamp and the vanity top lamp in the toilet were both faulty. Requested the staff to look into it but nobody did. We tried to change the bulbs ourselves but realised it was not the bulbs which fused, but both the lamps were totally faulty. Room was quite dimly lit, the air inside it always got this cigarette smell when we switched the air conditioner on. Also, the pool is really tiny. However, why use the pool when you have a beach nearby?
Bad things aside, the hotel is value for money, consider the amenities around it and the accessibility to the shops and beach. Plus point, it is located just right beside a very nice massage centre, T.K massge, which provides good massages.
All in all, if you are not fussy with room ambience or require a luxurious stay, then I would recommend it to you. Great location, good service, not too expensive.
