The Alis Hotel in Krabi is a...
The Alis Hotel in Krabi is a great place to stay in. We were positive surprised about the Hotel, nice rooms and an awesome bathroom! The pool on the second floor is small but beautiful, different from other hotels. The breakfast is ok. The service at the reception is not the best but ok for a Hotel like the Alis. The location is great, close to the beach but not in the middle of busy Ao Nang. Would definitivly stay again in this "special" Hotel.

If there's one word to describe this...
If there's one word to describe this place - BEAUTIFUL! If you really need two - VERY BEAUTIFUL! The design and decor of the place is so exquisite it's simply breath-taking! It doesn't look like a "hotel room" at all, if you get what I mean. It's more like something from a magazine cover or an Ikea showroom! The staff took careful notice of our requests as well. We put down a request for a king-sized bed and honeymoon suite, and although from our experience most hotels would simply ignore those special requests, Alis sure did take care of that! They had all those flower petals strewn over the king-sized bed and bathroom sink that it looked like a sight straight out from a fairy tale! There was free pool and internet access at the lobby of the hotel as well. It came as a pleasant surprise as the previous hotel we stayed in charged 1 baht per minute for internet access.

Very bad experience when checking in. The...
Very bad experience when checking in. The floor manager tend to transfer us to a lower grade hotel near the beach, although our rooms was confirmed 2 months ago. After much argument, they finally gave us the key to check in. The Club room is lovely. Breakfast not many variety, but OK. Booking taxi from the hotel to airport is quite expensive, cheaper to book from those taxi waiting along the road side.

The room size is perfect. I have...
The room size is perfect. I have booked the hotel with 2 other couples. We were given 3 different rooms on 3 different level. I was fortunate enough to get a suite. The suite consists of 2 levels. The higher level is an outdoor bath. The room consists of a queen size bed and a single bed with 2 balcony.The bathroom doues not have a bathtub but was good enough as it has a normal shower and a rainwater shower. Breakfast was good though there was not much variety (ABF) but it consists of 1 rice / noodle plus a main dish. It's just 5 mins walk to the Ao Nang beach and Nappohat beach. It's good as it's along the evacuation route for tsunami. Staffs are friendly but not enough as all the staffs are multi-task. The speech of english and understanding of english is not very good, must be patient with the staffs so that they will know what we want. Staffs are friendly and approachable.

stayed at the club room for 3...
stayed at the club room for 3 nites. had to climb 4 storeys to room. had a private rooftop tub with a nice view. male staff were friendly, female staff lacked smiles. location is fine, abt 10-15 min walk to the beach. room is rather clean and cosy, except that one night it rained, and the roof leaked and dripped water onto our luggage which was directly under the stairs. breakfast was ok, but almost the same daily and without much choices. overall i would recommend staying there if the trip is short.

Very friendly and helpful staff! They were there to greet us when we arrive and have our check-in card and room key ready. They also kindly arranged transport to airport when our taxi didn't show up. The hotel is beautifully designed with unique decorations. Check out the lamps hanging on top of the lobby/dining area. They really are a sight at night. The rooms are good size and the bathroom design is also unique. The pool is on the rooftop overlooking the street. It is not very big, but a nice area to sit around and just relax in. The spa is on the rooftop, with a bit of view. If you crane your neck, you can see a bit of the beach. I would definitely recommend this place for those who prefer smaller, more personalised hotel. Also recommended for couples on romantic getaways. Hope you love it as much as i do. Enjoy!

The rooms are quite clean and there...
The rooms are quite clean and there is good a/c. The pools is modest. There are little facilities other than the pool and massage spa which is pricey compared to the ones in town or down the road. The food is poor and the kitchen closes at 7pm, so you'll be hungry if you expect any staying meals. The TV channels are most in Thai and there is no DVD player. All in all it is a good hotel fr those who don't intend to lard in the hotel the whole holiday.

Great location away from the busy end...
Great location away from the busy end of Ao Nang, but only 2 minutes walk from the beach, sea front restaurants and bars.
