I supposed the hotel owner is a...
I supposed the hotel owner is a somewhat detail-oriented person judging from the little provisions in the hotel.Sad to say, the service staffs did not live up to the standard & they have problem conversing in English.I was greatly disppointed that my arrangement with the reservation for a birthday cake for my other half did not arrive upon our check-in,as it was meant to be a surprise (despite my gentle reminder to the reception of the pre-arrangement of the birthday cake)!We failed to watch the DVD we chosen despite 3 attempts for it to be played!We gave up trying eventually.We requested for later check-out time due to our late flight departure but the receptionist simply turn down & rigidly highlighted the check-out time was 12noon!To top it off, we booked for a 2hours Spa in the hotel which turn out to be a disppointment & frustration.The masseurs were apparently contracted freelancers who were unfamiliar with the environment & where the things are kept as they have problem finding the switch to the fan.They tried to slip short by not washing our feet before massage and short changed us for 30mins in total!We were rushed to evacuate the shower rooms as the next guests were arriving!I regretted for not trusting the reviews about the hotel Spa on the internet! I agree with some people that you can find any hotel that offers better values for money!

We loved this hotel as it is...
We loved this hotel as it is quite small and beautifully designed. While we were staying there most of the other people there were quite old so we felt a little bit out of place. The pool is very small.

My wife and I were in Krabi...
My wife and I were in Krabi for 4 days and 3 nights looking for total rest & relaxation and that's exactly what we found at Alis! Sceptical at first about the location and the size of the hotel (had the impression it was a small, family run like one), we were pleasantly surprised that it was more private and luxurious than we thought. Good clean rooms, big bathroom, nice big bed, good service, wonderful infinity pool overlooking the road. Staff was wonderful and location was very good, especially the nearby food centre, which was cheap and delicious! Breakfast was not grand but a sufficient start to the day. All in all, 5 star comfort at reasonable prices!

the hotel is generally a lovely place....
the hotel is generally a lovely place. the rooms have thoughtful and nice decor. we loved it! location wise, it takes 15mins of walking to get u to the main ao nang beach stretch, but there are a few restaurants nearby as well. and a tuktuk ride from the beach front will cost 20baht. but this also means its a lot more quiet and peaceful. the breakfast spread is not big but very nicely cooked. service is very good as the staff are friendly and like a big family. my only complaint is the level of cleanliness. there were a lot of ants. its generally bearable still, though.

Stayed 4 nights in club room, fantastic...
Stayed 4 nights in club room, fantastic for couples. spacious bed, room has 2 levels, cool bathroom, very spacious, has cool wooden bath tub with sea views in our rooms balcony on 2nd level. Decent breakfast, but nothing extravagant. Service is excellent, friendly english speaking staff. Beach is a good 10 minute stroll or 1 minute local taxi(tuk tuk) one way.

We've stayed in a few hotels in...
We've stayed in a few hotels in Krabi, and this one is certainly one of the best. A small boutique hotel with lovelly rooms. Breakfast is a little basic, but it has everything you need and more than enough to fill you up. The only place I would like to see improvement would be the breakfast service - it took us a few days to figure the whole thing out... They have a fab little infinity pool, (we were lucky to have a room on the same level - highly recommended) great to rinse off after a day in the sea and sun!! The hotel also has a pool table and a movie theatre great for those afternoon showers... Initially I thought the staff were a little unfriendly, but once they got to know us they were fantastic!! We were even escorted up the staircase to our room one evening after returning very late after a night out... We are regular visitors to Krabi, and the Alis is one of two hotels we will be staying in - which ever we can get the accommodation...

We had a pleasant stay at Alis....
We had a pleasant stay at Alis. The only problem was that there was no lift in the hotel so if you were on the 4th floor it was quite hard going walking up the stairs with your luggage. But the staff were more than willing to help us out. The rooftop pool was lovely and the rooms were good too. There is also free internet services as well in the lobby. The hotel can also book all the activities for you such as kayaking and white-water rafting. It's a decent place to base yourself when staying in Ao Nang, because the ferry over to Phi Phi isn't far and there are also plenty of longtail taxis to Railay beach.

It was a wonderful and great stay...
It was a wonderful and great stay at Alis Hotel for 4 days 3 nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has excellent customer service. The pool area was relaxing and nice. The hotel is located near the sea, is only 5 mins walk.Its a cosy and relaxing hotel, definitely a good place to relax and slack.
