A truly amazing hotel! The staff, service and facilties were like no where we have stayed before. This is one of the best hotels in asia. We will be back!
Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights...
Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights from 22-27 January 2007. Room decorated to a high standard, quality bathroom, not sure about the mustard yellow floor tiles! Huge amazing swimming pool and sunbathing area. The hotel has the road separating it from the beach, not a very nice beach compared to a lot a Thailand. Excellent Thai restaurant in the hotel and there is also an Italian. The hotel was still not fully constructed and operational, but will be great when finished in the near future.
The location is a little remote, there are no restaurants within walking distance. We hired a moped which we couldn't have survived without.

The hotel was opened on December the...
The hotel was opened on December the 1st. We has to wait for over half an hour to get our rooms. The toilet and the telephone were out of order and although we complained about this, when we got back to the hotel six hours later,they had not find a solution and apparently there was not another rooms available.
Moreover, the hotel is about 20 minute drive from Ao Nang and there is not a shuttle service available from the hotel. The limusine service at the hotel doesn´t meet the expectation of a 5 star hotel.
The spa is not available yet and most of the rooms and facilities are still under construction.

The hotel has the potential to be very nice once it is fully operational
At the moment there are still construction involved everywhere, since we are the first customer to check in for the soft opening ( 1/12/2006).
*) two restaurants have not yet opened
*) the spa is still under construction and not yet operational
*) there are still construction work around the pool and the garden surrounding it therefore lack of privacy
*) the library is not yet opened
*) tennis court is not yet finished
*) A lot rooms are also under construction ( 60% in our opinion), therefore there will be a lot of noise during the day
We can not fault the effort of the staff to be friendly and make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Complimentary mini bus to town in which they have promised also not yet operational at the moment, it will cost you around 400 to 500 bath by taxi,
However there are still restaurants and mini market about 400 m to 1 km radius from the hotel, you can borrow a bike from the hotel then cycle to those places
The bottom line avoid the hotel in 2006, 2007 will only be the good time to go
OR check with hotel about the readiness of the hotel before you decide to stay here
