I stayed at Islanda in May 2008...
I stayed at Islanda in May 2008 just after it opened and had a great time. I think we were the only people inhouse so service was great and the staff friendly. I live in Thailand so drove my car to The Maritime Hotel in Krabitown (same owner) and then a shuttle bus took us on a 20minute drive to the wharf where a nice longtail boat was waiting for the short trip to the Resort. Everything was very efficient and we did not have to wait and no delay. The resort is well laid out and they have a great pool. We booked an Oceanfront Villa which was fantastic, they have loads of room and there is a seperate kitchenette/bathroom area. It is quiet and relaxing and the nearby village is very sleepy. We rode bicycles around the island however for a small tip you can borrow a staff members motorbike if you like. Would go back and will go back, a great place for a getaway.
