we loved it
We stayed one week in the Red Ginger and we really loved it. It is a nice, modern hotel with quiet, comfortable rooms, a large pool (including a pool bar) and friendly staff.
They serve good breakfast with a choice of warm food, bread and coldcuts as well as cereals and fruits.
The hotel is located a bit off the busy major road in AoNang but still in short walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants. We would stay there again.

A little oasis
I stayed on two seperate occasions and both experiences were above expectations. The hotel is very well appointed and rooms are very comfortable. The beds were extreamely comfortable and aided a great nights sleep.
The pool is lovely but could probably do with a few more sun loungers as there was more demand than beds at peak times.
The location is great as it is in a quieter part of town but still only a very short walk to the heart of town.
The best part of Red Ginger is without doubt the staff.They were superb throughout. Helpfull, kind and great fun.
Red Ginger will be my first choice whenever I am lucky enough to be in Ao Nang in the future.

does the job
This hotel is clean and near to the noise and bustle without being too close to keep you awake. The bathroom smelt a bit but I don't think they could have helped that from the drains. The staff were friendly but they english was limited and when our 3 night of stay here was lost they didn't seem too keen to help. (but that was asia rooms fault I think (as it happened twice). The pool is nice and the restuarant had a lovely view.

Neat Boutique
The package we had was well-valued. Airport transfer, breakfast, and a massage for 2. Could not ask for more for the price we paid.

wonderful stay!
had a wonderful stay at red ginger chic. we were given a free upgrade to clubroom. The room is spacious and came with all the necessary amenities. the room and towels has a nice smell to it. dvd player is available too. we're happy that the hotel is eco-friendly and pro-environment. they are promoting less wastage of resources which is a good thing.
the staff are friendly and we have no problem communicating in english. breakfast is good, there're 2 sets of food that alternates everyday. street food and a long stretch of shops and restaurants, cafes, etc. (ao nang beach road) is just a few minutes walk down the street. also, we booked our day tours via the hotel and they went without a hitch. on our last day, we booked the hotel van to the airport at 600 baht. the vehicle is big and comfortable.
will stay at red ginger again should i visit krabi in future.

By far the Red Ginger resort would be the best place we have stayed in Thailand. This beautiful place truly lives up to its five star rating. I will definitely be coming back here and recommending it to other people. The location is brilliant, short walk to town. The room and hotel were amazing, loved it!:)

The Red Ginger Chic Resort was absolutely...
The Red Ginger Chic Resort was absolutely spanking new and very beautiful! We booked the superior grande rooms but were very kindly upgraded to the Club Room. Situated on the top floor of the resort, the Club Room is built loft style and was very spacious. Air Conditioning in the living room did not work and was not fixed during all 5 nights of our stay there (despite our request for maintenance). We didn't really mind as it was cool enough of of the time. The day bed in the living room was my favourite part of the room. It made for a perfect sofa for tv watching. The Red Ginger was located far enough away from the bustle of town, but close enough for a nice 15 minute walk in the cool evenings. The staff were very gracious and kind. 5 minute walk to the beach where reasonably priced long tailed boats (from Wang Sai Travel) waited to ferry tourists to Phranang and Railay. We had a very comfortable stay overall.
