Loved it, loved it, loved it!!
We stayed at Pan Beach at the start of our honeymoon in December 2011. We were greeted by 'Ben', the owner, who gave us Bungalow number 1; closest to the beach, as we were celebrating. Great start.
This was just what we were looking for, without knowing what we wanted! In reply to some of the other reviews...
Yes, the (Thai style) toilets don't have a flush, the shower is fresh water and there is no electricity between 6pm and 6am - but this is a perfect, traditional, authentic Thai resort, well worth a visit.
We spent our days by the secluded beach swimming, snorkelling and exploring and when the little lights by the beach came on at 6pm we knew it was time for cocktails.
'Ben' and her staff were more than welcoming and friendly, we spent many evenings chatting away with them all. The food is absolutely gorgeous and the cocktails are great too!
Pan Beach is a taxi ride, or motor bike ride, away from Ao Nang so you'll need to travel if you're after bright lights! But why leave this wonderful, secluded, beautiful resort?
I wish we had booked a few more nights, as we shed a little tear when we left and had the 'Pan Beach Blues' for two days, as we missed it so much.

The best thing was the homely environment...
The best thing was the homely environment and the people there were very friendly, food is okay too.
The bad thinks was: water quality was very poor,power on 6.00 pm to 6.00am you could not stay in your room in daytime.{ no Air Con, no TV, no flush Toilet)
Breakfast for two 250-300 Baht.
The location is very inconvenient not as described on the beach next to An Nang. You have to hire a motorbike to drive to town (200Baht)or get a Taxi (500 Baht each way)

The location is very inconvenient not as described on the beach next to Aonang - sorry too long to spell. You have to take a motorbike to drive there about 20 minutes from Aonang. It's on the end of a small remote path.
The bugalow is okay. Staff is good, food is okay too. The resort is in front of the beach but when the tide is down, there is no water coming in.

Beautiful place et very nice people. Very friendly staff, quiet and lovely surrounding, good cooking ... At first we intended to stay one night and we finally spent 5 !
There was no proper water availability in...
There was no proper water availability in the bathroom, though sometime available but water quality was poor. As some rooms were not exposed to sunlight they were in quite unhygenic condition, electricity available for limited time span. The best thing was the homely environment and the people there were very friendly.
