Its a pleasant place run by Jane and her team of 8. I had only casually mentioned that it was my birthday as at the website it prompted for remarks, upon arriving there the front office agent checked us in and send us to the room. For a minute I was a bit disappointed as even the airport staff had notice that I arrived at Thailand on my birthday itself but I shrugged it off. A while later the staff came to our room with a birthday cake and sang!
Its really very family oriented, they take care of your needs and are always smiling. For Jane and her team it is truly customer satisfaction first!
We were upgraded to the house-hut but on our next visit we definitely want to try the jungle hut as it really look very adventurous. There is a swimming pool right in the middle of the resort and when its not raining they light up the fire-pole. Be careful as there are no markers which side are the deeper end!
There is a shuttle service from the resort to Aonang Town anytime, you just have to request from any of the staff. There are even books and magazines at the lobby for you to read should you want to stay away from the crowd. They clean your room daily without your request, which is a plus point but there is NO phone in your room, perfect for quiet getaways. There is a television in the room but most channels are in Thai so if I were you, I would go soak in the sun!
Fresh water is provided daily, mini fridge is available and you don't need to turn on the air-con just the fan would do as at night it does get really chilly. Be careful where you step as the place is surrounded by greenery so you would have snails and frogs passing by - we killed one accidently.
Favorite item in the room? The green tea shower gel! After a hectic day, a much welcome gesture. Overall an excellent experience, and I would most definitely come back again!
Thank you Jane and team - excellent teamwork!
