Klong Muang Sunset House, Krabi  

The guest house is not on a beach as suggested but across from a building site (?) with pools of stagnent wtaer which have to be negotiated to get to the beach. The 'sunset roof terrace ' has two plastic chairs - full stop. No sunbeds or tables or ambience to have an evening beer and watch the sunset. Better down the beach at Jos's bar. The view there is lovely. Be aware that it could be that the tide is out for most of the day do no good swimming and it si too sandy for snorkling as well. The rooms are small and no space to hang clothes or store cases. Our view was a corrugated tin roof of neighbouring Irish bar. The bathroom door was taped up, pictures hanging off wall and not very clean. Breakfast adequte but no alternative nearby so no choice. Had to pay over a pound for two slices of toast.
We tried to find other accomodation but as there is no bus service and taxis are very expensive we decided to make the best of it and stay the week. We have stayed in cheaper accomodation which made up for their lack of ammenities by having 'character' but this place is just 'tired' and souless and no raport with guests who like us got out as quickly as possible each day.
The manager was lovely and did her best.
