most relaxing holidays
We stayed in the "LOBSTER" with private Swimming Pool and great view to the sea. Perfect for us, as we just wanted to have some peaceful time, jogging, walking, swimming, reading...nothing else. The accommodation is spacious and clean..but the whole resort should get a touch up...some buckets of paint would do..the staff is very friendly (they even made it possible, that we get yoghourt for breakfast..unfortunately their was no foot massage available. The beach is very neglected and not cleaned since long time :) that"s a shame. We collected broken glass every morning at the beach in a plastic bag...but it was a peaceful and quiet place,exactly what we have been looking for. As we are staying in Malaysia, its a short flight (180 minutes) and we are in Krabi, very convenient. The meals are all worth the money and nice. No shop in vicinity.
Haven of tranquility
I have visited Thailand for over 10 years and this was my first experience of rural Thailand as it is, unadultered,beautiful and peaceful. Had Yao is where you go if you want to escape from the tourist traps that sadly engulf a lot of Thailand. The hotel was set in a mangrove forest with only the sea and trees for company. There is nothing to do here other than relax, swim, read and enjoy the tranquility. Local fishing villages were a bike ride away and delicious local food at local prices were on offer.
The staff at the hotel were delightful and respectful and did not question why I was staying there on my own the week of Christmas. My professional life is very stressful and this was the perfect setting to unwind and properly relax after a busy year.
Breakfasts were delicious with lots of choice to order, not a buffet, and the only minor downside of the food was it was expensive compared to the local eateries and portions to large for a single person.
I will definately come back to this resort to stay and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away but experience Thailand at its best.

Beautiful but remote
The villas are spacious and spotless with toilet and hand basin inside the villa and the bath & shower outside, sounds strange but its great. (You have a perimeter wall for total privacy.) The food is exceptional and the staff are more then helpful yet not in your face. The drawback is its a 40min taxi into Krabi with no ammenities nearby. If you want the quietest holiday possible away from everything then this is the one for you.

I'm impressed with the service provided by the resort manager and his staff. They're always around to tend to your needs. Big and clean rooms, powerful air-con. Large outdoor bathtub and shower area but poor lightings and alot of mosquitoes...a minus for bathing at night. Good range of dvd collections. Location-wise, no shop/mart/restaurant in near vicinity but they do provide complimentary shuttle serivce to the main towns on certain weekdays. Beach is not that great. Pool is pathetically small. But I would still highly recommend this place to people who like a get-away, rest and relax. After staying in Aonang for the 1st few days in Krabi, I really enjoyed the peace and having the whole beach to myself.
