How to get there?

---From Bangkok---

By Bus--Eastern Bus Terminal located alongside the Ekamai BTS Station on Sukhumvit Soi 63 (Soi Ekamai).

Fare is THB 117 with buses leaving every 30 minutes between 05.00hrs and 23.00hrs.

Trip takes about 2 hours.

By Taxi--Hail any taxi on the street and expect to be asked to pay between THB 1,200 to THB 1,500 plus expressway fees.

By Train--Train departs from the Hua Lamphong Railway Station at 06.55am arriving in Pattaya by 10.30am.

Fares: First Class (THB 140), Second Class (THB 72), and Third Class (THB 31)

---From Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Bangkok---

By Taxi--Proceed to the taxi counter at Level 2 of the Arrivals Hall, near entrances 3, 4, 7 & 8.

Official fare: THB 1,050 plus THB 60 for expressway fees.

Travel time is approximately 1.5 hours.

By Bus--Take the Shuttle Bus (free of charge) at Level 2 or 4 (Entrances 3, 6 and 9) to the Public Transportation Center.Fare is THB 106 per person and the trip takes about 1.5 hours.Drop off point is North Pattaya Road bus station and from here take a taxi or Songthaew (pick up truck – most common form of transport in Pattaya) to the hotel.

---Getting around Pattaya---

Songthaew Service--In many towns and cities (apart from Bangkok), the songthaew is the main form of public transport.

Songthaews (literal meaning = two rows) are converted pick-up trucks with two rows of seating in the back for passengers.

In Pattaya, the songthaews drive along set routes.

When one has stopped for you, just jump in the back and ring the buzzer or bell in the back to indicate when you want to get off.

Fares vary from town to town.

In Pattaya a short journey would usually be 10 Baht, and it is also easy to catch songthaews along South Pattaya Road, Central Pattaya Road, and North Pattaya Road.

Songthaews can very often be chartered for a half-day or full-day of sightseeing.

Agree to a rate with the driver and pay at the end of your journey.

Motorcycle Taxi--
If you are looking for a fast mode of transportation and are up for the risk you may wish to consider Pattaya motorcycles taxis as your form of transportation.

The drivers wear either orange vests or green vests.

Price starts from Baht 15.
