The Asia is in a location on...
The Asia is in a location on the edge of the resort and has its own beach. So it is a quiet location with a beach which it shares with one or two other hotels. The hotel would have been perfect maybe 10 years ago but it now is in need of refurbishment. The bathrooms in particular could do with being gutted. The public rooms are fine. Good hotel that has seen better days.

pro: Away from downtown noise and 'pattaya...
pro: Away from downtown noise and 'pattaya athmosphare' but easy to reach by cheap taxi connection. Very large garden with plenty of easy chairs,very large pool, usually rather empty, because most guests go for tours or to town (exept weekends). Very clean and spacious rooms. Friedly staff. Moderate priced restaurant, very good breakfast con: Hotel and service a bit oldfashioned, lack of staff training. Restaurant with tasty homecooking, but without anything special. No facilities for children. overall: Very good price-value relation, if one does not expect modern 4-5 star facilities and service We came back already seven times.

Facilities at the hotel are good and...
Facilities at the hotel are good and there is a 9 hole pitching golf couse at the hotel (not free of charge though), longest holes are some 130 yards with difficult small greens surrounded by sandbunkers. The hotel sits in a quiet location with an own beach on the "Hill", so you need taxi transport to central Pattaya for shopping eating etc. The area has few restaurants with western food. Free parking facilities if you have a car. The hotel is old (1960:th style) but well maintained. If you look at value for the price it is a good choice for families and seniors.

I would recommend Asia Hotel as a...
I would recommend Asia Hotel as a comfortable but not luxurious good value hotel. Only negatives are slightly out of town and limited in-hotel facilities but very friendly staff.

The Asia was probably very nice 15...
The Asia was probably very nice 15 years ago but is in need of a serious refurb. There should be some pest control done as there was a regular intrusion by ants in the bedroom and bathroom, on the 6th floor! The location is a little out of the way but there are a couple of good bars/restaurants nearby. This is useful as you will soon tire of the breakfast on offer. The poolside recliners though plentiful were usually all reserved before breakfast. The staff were pretty friendly, as are Thai's in general. The 9 hole course is pretty good and as close as can be. In summary, the Asia is not bad for the money but could be so much better with some TLC and money spent.

We stayed in this hotel from 5th...
We stayed in this hotel from 5th November 2006 to 10th November 2006. I had used this hotel about 15years before. We noticed that it had kept up to date and was just as bright as when I first saw it 15 years ago. The rooms are nice with a TV that has many english speaking channels.The breakfast was very good with a good choice of foods. Two things that are not advertised on Asiarooms.com about this hotel are that the rooms have electronic safes and there is a good fitness center beside the pool. Overall I would rate this hotel very good value for money. Phil Brown

We stayed in sea-view category room for...
We stayed in sea-view category room for 4 nights, it was a very nice scene!! If it had balcony for each room, it might be perfect. The staffs were frieldy especially the F&B ones. The defect is a little bit far awaty from downtown and the decoration is little bit old. But overall, it is valuable to stay in Asia Pattaya.
