Hotel is very well located and very well maintained. Pool area is very spacious, and the staff very attentive.
The hotel rooms are slightly dated, but very well cleaned, spacious, and the sea view was amazing.
Downside is internet is not provided free and the daily rate is quite expensive, and check in was slow, and I had to wait until 1pm for the room to be available.

Lazy Service
Front desk service is the slowest and do not follow up as they promise. Internet is highly priced and doesn't work all the time.

Dusit Thani is in an idyllic location...
Dusit Thani is in an idyllic location at the end of the Beach Rd in Pattaya, pleasantly far enough away from the craziness of Walking Street. Watching the sun set over Pattaya Bay from the cliff-side heated hot tub truly is a pleasure. Rooms very spacious and cleaned every day. Inside of the hotel is also beautiful; gym, a couple of bars/restaurants and numerous shops. The only (minor) gripe we had was trying to pay for anything by giving our room number even when showing the pass card/key there was always some problem. Security also seemed over zealous - but I suppose this is no bad thing. All in all a lovely hotel and a great rate through AsiaRooms

Every was very good except the noise created by the construction work within the hotel complex and also from the Amari hotel across the street.

this hotel should get a 5/5 but...
this hotel should get a 5/5 but i felt the rooms felt a little tired and could do with a refurbishment. the plumbing was not that great [shower strength poor and alternating hot/cold which was a nuisance when showering]. the outside of the hotel looked great and the location is fantastic. For business types the "Dusit Club" was brilliant with internet connection and great views and complementary drinks/snacks... the staff were terrific. EVERYONE treated my girlfriend and me with absolute courtesy and were most helpful. the Spa was a delight although expensive as were most things within the hotel. the breakfast was very good and we were well looked after. there was a wide range of food available. we had lunch on our arrival which was excellent. again the staff were most courteous and helful and always seemed to wear the most wonderful smiles. Really the Thais are perfect hosts for the hospitality business... Overall a lovely hotel with wonderful staff and the views were fantastic from the sea view rooms. the pools are great as well. the gym was well appointed and the shower areas were OK but not great... the actual showers in the gym locker room looked a little grubby and overused... more needed and a deep clean!! The Dusit is an excellent hotel with...
The Dusit is an excellent hotel with a high level of service. Room service was quick and efficient. This coupled with a good sized well decorated room, made my stay pleasurable. The Dusit is in close proximity to Pattaya beach and all entertainement and restaurants. Some nice touches is the ability to control in room airconditioning and three movie channels on TV, free of charge.

I fly several times a year to...
I fly several times a year to Thailand but it was the first time I stayed in Pattaya. I choose DUSIT RESORT and I was not disappointed for location is convenient with direct access to beach and at some minutes walk from Mail Commercial Center, local markets and so on. It is easy to go downtown and come back by public taxi (10 Bath even if driver try to ask 20 or 40 Bath when it is a " farang " : foreigner). I booked seaview room with breakfast included. Room is large enough (even if not very large) and bathroom rather small (no separate cubicle shower). If they are not brand new the room was perfectly clean. Morning breakfasts were great (similar as the ones in SHANGRI-LA in BANGKOK. In evening if you want to stay in hotel there are 3 restaurants with prices according to the quality. There was not too much people around the two swimming pools. BBQ Buffet on saturday evening are a must (not expensive at all : some 40 Usd)with everything you can wish including lobsters and so on. The only problem (not the DUSIT one) is the cost of the travel from SUVARBANHUMI airport (BANGKOK International airport). A.O.T (Airport of Thailand) limousine service charge some 2 600 THB (some 80 Usd) and driver sometimes try to ask you some 100 Bath more (I complain to A.O.T without any answer). Local taxi are not better to go back to airport and the promised " taxi meter " is NEVER a taxi meter. I use for the final return to airport when leaving the " DUSIT SHUTTLE ". The DUSIT SHUTTLE go from DUSIT PATTAYA to DUSIT in BANGKOK (500 Bath : 15 Usd) where I stayed before taking a taxi meter to go to airport to fly back home. DUSIT SHUTTLE is a very convenient and confortable van of some 9 seats which leaves PATTAYA by 10:30 in the morning. There is AVIS desk in DUSIT but prices are also very high (3 000 Bath : 90 Usd) to drive back to airport (one way of course). DUSIT PATTAYA is a fair choice for PATTAYA and if you do not want to have lunch or dinner there are plenty of restaurant veey close or easy to reach for 10 Bath : 0,30 Usd).

Stay in this hotel every year. Can...
Stay in this hotel every year. Can not find better in Pattaya. In the best position, staff highly trained and polite. Internet booking does not get you the good rooms but the discount makes it acceptable, only difference is the position.

A very smart hotel in the best location in Pattaya with very courteous professional staff. A nice escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Pattaya. Would stay again.
