Our stay -by chance- was during the time frame of the U.S Navy port visit and despite the increase of people the staff was great. Our deluxe king sea view was worth the upgrade from just the regular view and the hard wood floor accented the room perfectly. The breakfast buffet was incredible. I had a friend staying at the Hard Rock and I would rate theirs a 2 and our hotel a 9. The location was right in the heart of the shopping district, but if your needing quiet this would not be your best choice. The only bad comment would be the show (Alcazar) that we booked through the Marriot and was a Hugh waste of money, but the hotel offers a number of other shows, actives, and sightseeing tours to choose from. Overall our stay was great and the staff was very helpful and every need was hastily taken care of, but of course we started off our stay with a nice tip to our baggage carrier. One piece of advice, there is a mall connected to this hotel containing a bank where the exchange rate is much better than the airport or hotel
