Montien does not deserve a single star:...
Montien does not deserve a single star: rooms were dirty (vermin even in the bathroom), service was awful, staff unfriendly and I have even been cheated! ATTENTION: they are charging a high additional fee for a second person (even if you reserved a double room for two persons)! This "hotel" is merely rip-off and will spoil your vacation. Sorry, but that's the truth.

It's well located near TOPs, just a...
It's well located near TOPs, just a 2 min walk to the beach, among the better pattaya hotels, however was not impressed by the pool, rooms need renovation especially the bathroom which is small and looks worn out, food quality and price is average, lobby was under rennovation, however the staff was very freindly and gave us a room with a beach + pool view, all and all i would not return to the Montien hotel - the marriott and dusit still remain by best picks...look forward to the sheraton as well

Montien is a quite good hotel, just...
Montien is a quite good hotel, just for holidays in pattaya. During our stay the recepction was 'under renew'. Good the swimming pool and the position, very close to the sea and not far from downtown. If you are looking for an hotel not luxurious for some days, then Montien could be a good choice.

Good value for money.  Been twice in...
Good value for money.  Been twice in a year, the second time around the rooms seemed quite run-down and breakfast selections not very impressive.  Staff continues to provide 1st class service. Love the seafood buffet - thought it got better.  Sound-proofs between rooms need looking into, if you get a noisy neighbour, you are in trouble.  I was in the executive room on 14th floor, so let your imagination run wild - if you are in a non-executive room. The Montien Jompien hotel is recommended!

Montien is an excellent hotel. Good accommodation, clean, and friendly staff. May be a little overpriced, but worth it. Plenty of bars, nightlife nearby, but a 10 minute walk to Mike Plaza (the main shopping centre) and 20 minutes to Walking Street. I checked in with my longstanding Thai girlfriend and was told that there would be a "guest" fee of Bt800 per night. Refused point-blank to pay and, after speaking to the Manager, no payment was required. However, I doubt that this would work with anyone other than a regular girlfriend - "short-time" or "long-time" will incur the guest fee!

I travel to Bangkok often for business...
I travel to Bangkok often for business and look forward to my short getaways to the Montien in Pattaya.  It is a premium class hotel with reasonable room rates that include the use of the fully equiped gym and the lovely pool set in the lush tropical gardens.  What I really like is every room has a spectacular view of Pattaya bay with a balcony.  The included breakfast buffet has a wide selection of asian and western foods and you eat overlooking the lush gardens.  Best of all is the location right in the center of the Pattaya beach road.  Easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment. I've stayed at more expensive hotels in Pattaya and cheaper ones too, but I always come back to the Montien.  Highly recommended.

Have stayed at the Montien on a number of occasions and have always been delighted with the value for money and the excellent service by the charming staff.  Food is good and reasonably priced - situation very convenient for shops, restaurants and night life.

Good location, very clean and well presented, large pool with plenty of shade or sun if you require,excellent gym great food and very attentive staff would reccomend anyone to stay here.Would stay here again!!!!!
