Huge resort complex without much of a personality. It is away from everything else so you have to take a taxi to go anywhere which is a little inconvenient.

Overall an excellent five star hotel. The staff were always on hand to make sure your stay was pleasurable. The food was excellent from breakfast through to the choice of good restaurants for your evening meal and reasonably priced. Drinks were a little expensive for Asia and a small beer would often be more than a single course lunch. The small beach is often shared with locals and other close hotels which can make it a little crowded especially at weekends. If you want a quiet oasis close to the hussle and bustle of Pattaya this is a good choice.

This is our 10th stay at the...
This is our 10th stay at the Royal Cliff Grand which says a lot in itself. We opt to stay in the Grand building for the upgraded rooms and spectacular ocean and island views and it is usually quieter than the Beach Hotel. This is our first visit since the opening of the Lotus Club Room for Grand guests, was a little disappointed with the breakfast selection, needs some improvement. The service at the Grand is , and always has been superb, very friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble. Look forward to seeing you all again next year!

This was our third stay at this...
This was our third stay at this hotel in five years(have stayed once previously in the Royal Cliff Beach and now twice in the Royal Cliff Grand). The quality of service, friendliness and courtesy of staff, was and always has been, absolutely first class. Downtown Pattaya could be better but there are some excellent restaurants which provide good quality meals at reasonable prices. Some maintenance work being undertaken in the Royal Cliff Grand but as this was their low season perhaps not un-expected.

The hotel lacked some heart and atmosphere, no sense of management presence. Services , facilities, amenities, room, food etc all very high standard. I think 4/5 is a fair rating for our stay.

Big disappointment. Rooms are oldish not to say old and same applies to bathrooms. Service would be considered good most places but for a Thai hotel it's not. If location offers a great view it's most inconvenient as soon as you wish to leave the hotel.

Wow. I have stayed in a lot...
Wow. I have stayed in a lot of top class hotels around the world and this ranks as one of the best. This is true 5 star affair. The hotel has all of the expected 5 star luxuries, such as food, pool and staff. But it also has an oustanding balcony views and an excellent beach that sits in a cove between Pattaya and Jomtien Beach. Even though you are less tha 2 miles from Pattaya, you could be anywhere due to the seclusion. After i left this hotel i flew to Phuket, considered Thailnd's finest island. My experinces at Royal cliff parralled Phuket which is saying a lot, since Phuket is truly outstanding. You cannot wrong here, you will love it.

Utter luxury and excellence. Stayed three nights in the standard rooms. Wonderful views. Stunning architecture inside the lobby area. Very impressed with the level of service. They even fill in your registration card for you whilst you sip the complimentary drink in the Crystal bar. In typical Thai tradition the waitresses/waiters kneel down to serve you. Free boat trip to Koh Chang was excellent. Expensive by Thai standards, but woth every penny if you want to indulge yourself.
