Location of Hotel is smack in the middle of red-light district, with Pubs and Bars surrounding the vicinity. Blasting music starts from evening onwards all the way to 3-4am, music can be heard clearly even from staying at high floor of hotel when all windows and doors are closely shut. Just a 5-8 minutes walk away from Beach. Bathroom is rather small and squeezy, toilet bowl is very near to bath tub, and water drainage system seems faulty. Hair dryer was provided in the room. Breakfast was wonderful every morning, no mad rush of tourists no matter what hour you get up, and there's ample selection for you to savour. A small Indian section is thoughtfully set up at a corner of the restaurant to cater to vegetarian Indian tourists. Food was fantastic! So was the service!
There's no tuk tuk in Pattaya, to get anywhere around the Pattaya, you may flag for either Meter taxi (quite rare) or hop on to any trucks (Just need to pay 10 Baht per person, however be sure to ask if truck driver passes by your destination before hopping on). Island hopping is very expensive and locals are not very willing to lower price, snorkelling is not common, if you go to Koh Phai, locals will recommend you to do deep sea walking, we paid 800 Baht per person for such an experience (had to bargain, we were initially quoted 2500 per pax when we arrived at the island).
Be sure to try the Thai massage behind the Royal Garden Plaza, authentic traditional massage that is cheap and good.
We wanted to do go-kart, to our dismay it's only open on Sundays, we were there on a weekday.
Overall conclusion, this holiday destination is more suitable for single men.
