I came to Thailand alone, to meet...
I came to Thailand alone, to meet up with friends. I felt completely safe in the facilities. The staff at the hotel are EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!! They go above and beyond the call of duty. Always smiling, and accomodating to your every whim! I do not know the name of the guy who waited on us during the day, but we nick named him "Cabana Boy"! "Cabana Boy"....you ROCK! You made our holiday!

The hotel is in a quiet location,...
The hotel is in a quiet location, well back from the main road. So no problems geting to sleep etc. It did lack some facilities including tea and coffee making and only two bottles of water for a 'mini bar'. Staff can be a bit funny, when drinks and food is bought from 'outside' the hotel bar! Otherwise, an enjoyable stay, with helpful desk staff. Watch out for the self service buffet, as most nights it was 200 baht (excluding drinks). On the odd night it can go up to 500 baht! So always check the price first.

An okay hotel, it's a bit far...
An okay hotel, it's a bit far from the beach and the night life. The breakfast was ok, and the room is nothing special in particular to comment. The pool is usually crowdy, and lots of german tourists there. If the price is cheap enough i will stay here again.

For those with children this is NOT...
For those with children this is NOT the hotel for you.We had unpleasant experiences from day 1. First we were greeted by the bellhop who actually told us to tip our driver who had brought us from Bangkok.What audicity !The checking in was smooth.Can't say the same for the condition in the 2 rooms.The additional bed is definitely a no for those who have weak spines. The pillow for that bed was too soft and lumpy for comfort.A lizard was crawling at the foot of the bedside table. Had a hard time getting my daughter to go to bed for the next 3 days cos of this.As for facilities you will be given one complimentary mineral bottle per person. There was nothing else in the fridge. There was no electric water flask. If you need hot water you have to order for it. A good lesson for us with young kids.Be prepared with your own shampoo as only a bar of'special soap'is supplied in the bathroom.The breakfast spread was good. On the first day breakfast a staff was so nice to accomodate all 5 of us by placing a fifth chair at the table for 4 inside the cafe.Unfortunately I can't say the same for the second day.The second day's breakfast was marred by one employee by the name of Pitsanu. On the second day, 14 Dec, my husband requested for the fifth chair to be placed at the table. An employee by the name of Pitsanu rudely replied it can't be done and we can sit outside anywhere at a table set for bigger group.The exterior of the cafe was a smoking area and we did not want that. Even after I brought the matter up with the front desk staff (which incidently is just next to the cafe)no one came to apologise for the inconvenience and invite us indoors.After a while I went to ask the front desk the second time. I was told that the situation has been corrected.Much to my surprise no one had come to apologise and infrom us to be seated inside the cafe.The staff at the front desk looked surprised too when I told him that. After nearly half way through our breakfast the employee Pitsanu came out and said " If you want to you can go inside ". There was no apology.We did not move back inside as the kids were already halfway through the breakfast. I think somehow the other female staff must have realised our displeasure. She came over to our table and tried her best to serve us. Luckily the last day's breakfast was pleasant. My 3 kids even managed to look at her name tag so that I can compliment her for her service. Kudos to staff Dorethe.To make up for the lack of facilities you can take a short walk to the Lotus shopping mall where you have a good spread of things. A 15 minute walk from the hotel brings you to the beach.Spend the day and don't worry about transport.We took a pickup lorry (the taxi)back to the hotel each day.Advise for would be travellers with kids: confirm the price before you take the ride.

Good, clean hotel, friendly staff were very...
Good, clean hotel, friendly staff were very helpfull. Good sized rooms but a bit dated especially the bathroom. Thai food was excellent but English breakfast could be much better. Would stay again.

The furnishings in the rooms are a...
The furnishings in the rooms are a little "cold" and dated. However, it was fine. The hotel staff was very helpful and the complimentary breakfast was fantastic! Nice pool and garden area. Would definitely stay there again!

This place was one of the coolest...
This place was one of the coolest place i visited and stayed in my whole tour of the three countries i visited.The reception was great and all the staff are very very obliging and soft spoken.Well language was one of the small draw backs but it did not matter at all. Ill make it a point to suggest and also stay only at thai garden at pattaya.
