Firstly, the hotel looks amazing. The design and decor was very nice and modern, which appeals to me. The room was adequate though poorly constructed. You could hear the plumbing from next door. Also there were cracks along the wall, though patched up, were rather disturbing. The wardrobe was small. As for service, I would say it was average. Considering that this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, I found that service was a little wanting. The location was a little far north of Pattaya central. I did not find it an issue but some might consider the travel everyday a bit of a turn off. The good thing is that it has it's own beach so there's no real need to head to central to get some sea & sand. Overall, I like the whole design of the hotel but the service let me down. So in the end, I doubt I'll go back again.

Hotel is generally nice and people are...

Hotel is generally nice and people are friendly & I must thank them for that.However I wish to make the following observations aimed at improvement: 1- Poor noise insulation : You could hear the TV & noise from adjacent rooms. 2- The design of the water faucets in bathroom is such that the guest can get his fingers cut & wedged which happenned to me more than once. 3- Towels & tissues are always in short supply. 4- Limited range of breakfast cereals.

When we first arrived to the hotel...

When we first arrived to the hotel late at night there was nothing to look at except the flower garden path that lead to our villa. The room has great spacing plenty of room to walk around. The bath room is amazing the large sit in tub the walk in shower are perfect. The Zign hotel across the villa has a private beach and three large swimming the alluring artifical water fall makes it more enjoyable to soak up the amenities for the drink and food services. It's perfect for romantic couples to stay it's comfortable and a great way to spend your vacation.

I stayed in one of their villa...

I stayed in one of their villa which was very nice and large. Amenities were more 4 star than 5 star and bathroom fittings were approximately installed. Nothing serious though. I was on a business trip and I would not recommend this hotel for such type of travel (no desk, very slow internet connection). However as a holiday resort it would be a very nice place to go if you don't care about location (not on the beach, along a quite road off of Pattaya). Breakfast selection was OK but not much variety.

I met my wife in Pattaya and...

I met my wife in Pattaya and checked in separately since my wife had a conference in bangkok. When I took my wife to check-in in the late evening. The Receptionist said they needed to charge us additional B1,000 as my wife is a Thasis. I explained to him our relationship but he refused to accept. Finally, we were being robbed for additional B3,000.

the Villa is definately the best...

the Villa is definately the best room to stay in the hotel . The garden enviroment is so well aranged and the buffet diner with the seafood is fantastic with the quality .Highly recommanded to stay at the villa .

The constructioon was a bit disturbing. Service could have been more professional: problems with checking out with the computer, much staff, but with nothing to do mostly; facilities i.e. gym were lacking.

I picked this hotel for a wedding...

I picked this hotel for a wedding party, as this Zign offered something different from the other hotels in the area. All the rooms are laid out beautifully with outside terraces. The rooms were clean and well presented, and the daily maid service was of a high quality. The pool is a good size, with a bar in the pool which has a nice touch. The breakfast was buffet style catering for all tastes (european,american,asian)and would set you up for a days travelling. The quality of the service for a evening meal was not so good, with delays in the service and some of the items on the menu not being available. They are buidling an additional 400 rooms close to the beach with might impact on the appeal of the place, withstanding that I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Location wise the Zign is situation on a quiet soi, about 10 minutes on a bar bus to some of the bars and restaurants in naklua.

On the surface the place looks nice:...

On the surface the place looks nice: nice bungalows, palm trees and blue/green swimming pool but... One surprise was the absence of bedlamps in the rooms but spotlights everywhere. It was impossible to get one. We had one problem with the A/C: two employees came without greeting us and proceeded to do their job-one holding a torch- totally ignoring us. Upon departing, we had to pay 500 bahts for a pair of slippers which was there before we left the room and had obviouslybeen stolen by the employee who came to "check" that everything was in order. An appointment at the hospital prevented us from confronting the manager. This habit in thai hotels to call the employee to check the rooms in front of the guests is one manifestation of Thais' total lack of courtesy. I think that next time I will ask the employee to come to the room and check in front of me. I have not experienced that in other countries of the region: they check after you have left and if something is missing I guess you are "marked" for the next time. In any case, there are risks in any business-if you can't take them, then do something else. The location is not convenient, the surroundings are ugly and the indications to reach the hotel sparse. The food was so-so. On the whole a disappointing experience which confirmed to me that in Thailand the convenience of the management comes before that of the guests. We will not go back and will discourage my friends to stay there. We benefitted from a package but the regular price are going to reach levels incompatible with the kind of service we got.
