Ravindra Beach Resort & Spa, Pattaya  

This has to be the cleanest and best service hotel for the money. While it is a little more expensive, the rooms are very very clean (and at this writing very new). The service is exemplary and the pools (3) and beach spectacular. If you are going to Pattaya and want to escape the sex tade, cheap bars and typical pestering to purchase gift crap, this is the place to come. By far the best room and service in our 3 weeks in Thailand. We came for dental treatment in Bangkok and could not afford the time to travel more than two or three hours from the office so this hotel fit the bill perfectly. From the Eastern bus station we went to Pattaya (2.5 hours) for 117 baht (a little under $4 at the time) and gota taxi which let us out in the middle of Pattaya lost, hot and tired. The hotel sent one of their employees in their own car to pick us up and bring us to the hotel free of charge. What a relief to get to the hotel and check in. Breakfast is excellent dnd although the other meals are more expensive, a 70 baht ($2) ride into town (one way) will put you anywhere in South Pattaya you want to go. We can't recommend this place more and believe we were very lucky to stay here since they have only been open two months. I'm sure the room rates will more than double once the word is out. It's a fancy Hilton sans the price. Dan Wilkins
