Good room
Good room but bad location. In addition don't trust picture on web. No parking
Friendly helpfull staff ,good location near sea .Good restaurants and convenience stores on doorstep.Good for long walks along seafront but plenty of cheap transport to shops and centre of pattaya.Great first experience toThailand.
Bangkok Xpat family
The hotel is a coverted shophouse facing straight onto a street with only street parking and in a somewhat rundown area, and so the first impression on arrival is not good from the street. But once inside, it is a pleasant surprise. IT is a modern approach with brushed concrete adn lovely tiling in the bathrooms. The beds are presented stylishly with clean and freshly made-up linen, and each bedrrom has a widescreen TV. It is effectively a small establishment's attempt at a boutique hotel which is mostly succesful. Cleaning could be improved by taking glass-cleaner to the stylish glass shower wall and doors to prevent soap scum buildup, and by cleaning more diligently around the basin plug-holes. Breakfasts must have been improved a little since the last comment about them, as the western breakfast is passable but the best to have is No.20 on the menu, Rice congee (a Thai rice porridge) which we all ended up sharing as it was very nice!
Recommendations to others would have to include the previso that it is right down the quiet end of town - but we prefer that! And that there are no other hotel facilities than the actual rooms.
5ive, Najomtien
We had a lovely room with cooking facilities and the staff were very helpful. It was down a side street, a stone's throw from the sea. There were a lot of good places to eat and drink along the beach road. This is the quiet (southern) end of Jomtien - which suited us. People don't seem to know where the hotel is - it's the street by Family Mart but the Soi numbers aren't labelled after 17.

This is my 3rd stay at 5iVE and the quality is consistently excellent. I dont usually take the time to review the hotels Ive stayed at but 5iVE is simply one of the best boutique hotels Ive encountered. Several points stand out.
1. What you see in the online pics is what you get
2. The design of the room seems to be a fusion of modern contemporary and Thai, really different!
3. WiFi and cable internet is free and I had unlimited downloads.
4. Very impressive 40" hd LCD! Biggest Ive seen in any hotel.
5. The newly installed kitchenettes are stunning.
6. Small details made my stay special: room slippers (I only ever got these from five star hotels before), electrical socket adapters, shower gel and shampoo was lemongrass infused gives an exotic bathroom experience.
7. The service was amazing; they gave me a complimentary lemongrass drink and almond cookies on check-in and the staff were a delight. Thank you Khun Jirawan! (hotel manager)

This hotel is not what it seams...
This hotel is not what it seams in the picture firstly th.e so called ceap rooms are on the fifth floor with no lift also the stairs are very dangerous as they are only half as wide as they should be ,my girlfrien fel down the stairs because of this,the small room is packed with many thing like a coffe macker but no coffe or sugar or milk so it was unues bu eny person till now,the tv is lovely but if you want any movie or english channel for get it 98 channels of nothing for english only bad free programs and thr room to small to swing a cat,long way to the action and tuk tuk chasge extra to go the extra distance to your hotel.But the staff are very friendly and helpfull
