I have stayed in many hotels in Thailand which I have visited on numerous occasions but the behavior of this hotel does stand out. Overall, I was disappointed with the service and treatment. I booked a 2+1 room (for 2 adults and a child) which had a small kitchen area (as advertised) as I get a bit bored with going to restaurants every night. When I first arrived the hotel told me the rooms didn't have kitchens. They showed me a room without a kitchen area but my partner noticed that the neighboring rooms being cleaned did indeed have kitchens, which we pointed out to the receptist. She conceded and showed us to another room with a kitchen this time (I have no idea why they didn't do this to begin with, as the hotel was almost empty so it wasn't like a room wasn't available!). The staff then told me that, despite the price guarantee of asiarooms, I needed to pay another 200 bhat per night. First I was told this was for breakfast for the child, when I said I don't take breakfast anyway, they then told me it was for the extra bed in the room. I told them that I felt I didn't need to pay this extra charge and immediately contacted asiarooms who confirmed I was correct. I forwarded the asiarooms response to the hotel and they backed down about the charge. Unfortunately, this kind of unnecessary nonsense leaves a bad taste in the mouth and I would not stay here again (despite the fact that having a kitchen is really handy!).
